How points are calculated?
How can I find formula used when granting points per stay? I know the redemption schedule, and what my credit card grants me, but can never figure out how many points I should earn per stay? I just stayed 3 nights at an Autograph property, spent ~$1,000 on room and parking...got 7,950 base points + 5,963 bonus points, but read they should pay 10 points per dollar spent, so not sure how base points are calculated?

Certain rate plans are also not eligible for points (explore rate, travel industry, locally negotiated rates, etc.) as arent room rates that were master billed to a company or most prepaid rates booked through a travel agent.
Sometimes the property just coded the rate incorrectly and the system does not award points on it.
If your room rate was eligible you should have received a few more points. Submit a request through your ambassador or customer care with a copy of the final invoice for your stay. Anecdotal reports on FT suggest that submitting a missing stay report is not the proper avenue to address this issue.

You should get 10pts (5pts at some brands) plus whatever elite bonus you are entitled to per dollar of eligible spend. Taxes, resort fees and any folio charges that are paid out to third party vendors (v.g. outsourced parking) are not eligible for points.

One thing I've never known, is I tend to use my Marriott card to pay for meals at the hotel seperately, rather than billing to my room. It's just easier doing my expenses since my company wants them itemized outside bill. However, I wonder if I am getting full points not through the room? if ran through room I'd get 17.5 points from Marriott (10pts +75%) and another 6 points from credit card for every dollar spent. But when I swipe my card at a hotel restaurant, I'm not sure I end up getting 23.5 points...as my monthly "Marriott spend" bonus doesn't show me any itemized transactions so I have no idea?
Lastly, sort of unrelated, I used to click on "activity" on my account and could download my folios, but that is no longer an option, "rebook" is in its place, do you know how to pull folios?

You should put all food on your room if you are dining at the hotel. You can ask for your folio to separate out the room charges and other charges like food/laundry into two different sheets. I have done that in the past.
That is the way to maximize on your total points.
Taxes/service fees aren't included in the dollar amount they use to create your points.
The points you listed originally seem close to what you might get without tax/fees attached.

You also received a 75% Titanium Elite bonus. 7,950 base points x 75% = 5,963 bonus.
You apparently did not select 1,000 points as your Welcome Gift. Possibly you selected a $10 USD F&B credit instead.
