Flying out of CLT, with a dearth of UA flights, and therefore few elite level members, the Silver status through Marriott got me upgrades to F on three of four flights in the last eight or nine months. That's a much higher percentage than I have received as a Delta Gold (or Delta Platinum since December, but there have been few upgrade opportunities during that time).

I got upgraded lax-ord on a redeye last week with my free silver from Marriott.
Unfortunately I was only flying the redeye bc my noon flight from psp was cancelled.

You had to migrate from PSP (Palm Springs) to LAX? That's a heck of a terminal change. How did they get you to LAX?
