Element Sedona, AZ [Master Thread]

Anyone has any info on the new Element Sedona that's listed as opening January 2020? Not bookable yet. Will be visiting Sedona late Jan. so curious if they have an exact opening date.

Also how is the location compared to the Courtyard? It appears to be located in the Village of Oak Creek and not Sedona "town"?

Neither hotel is inside Sedona city limits. Village of Oak Creek is about six miles south, the Courtyard in Yavapai County is about three miles west.

On a weekend, it could take you 45+minutes to cover those 6 miles. Traffic in Sedona is out of control!

While the Courtyard is on the outskirts of town, it is within the Sedona city limits.

Good catch! Hell, the city has only been in existence for 30 years and keeps moving.

Thanks sounds like neither is great location-wise.

Hyatt Residence might be a better choice?

It doesn't get more centrally located than Hyatt Pion Pointe. Nice property that can be pricey.

Isn't this some sort of a vacation property and not really a hotel? It looked more like a resort condo complex to me and IIRC it doesn't appear in regular searches on the Hyatt website.

Anyone have any deeper or more recent thoughts on this place? They are running a pretty intense price cut in Dec23 ($150-175/nt looks like), and I love me some Sedona, but am not familiar with this specific property (although I am with Element brand in general).
