If I use E checkin and receive a key, why would I need to visit the front desk at all?

Some/many/most Marriott properties hold off on releasing the digital key until they see you. If you know amongst your standard properties which one(s) don't check ID, they could be candidates for your mattress run.

They can also tell you never used the digital key, they log every time you use it

I booked a room at a hotel 10 min from my house so I went there and checked-in to make sure it all goes smoothly.with the stay credit.

I know everyone does different things, but I dont like taking chances of wasting money, so glad you took the safe route. I always check in, mess up the bed, throw the towels in a pile, put Shampoo and grab the tissue box before leaving.

Last year I had the stay 1 night get 1 night up to 2 FNCs. The FI in midtown manhattan was $89 a night. I would check, and go back the next morning before work and get breakfast. Why pass up a free breakfast?

Currently Titanium Elite but with a 'mere' 37 nights I am not very close to requalifying.
Is there a chance Bonvoy will give me a challenge in order to extend my status next year? I have a ton of travel coming up and this year was still slightly impacted by covid for me.
My spent is around 13k this year.
Is there any email address I could request a status extension though? I presume filling out one of the firms is kind of useless...

The thread on status challenges here has been dead since 2021 (you can search for it) but in any case I cannot recall anyone reporting that Marriott has granted a request of the type you mention. Soft landings also appear to be a thing of the past so you cannot even look forward to Platinum as a consolation next year. Having said that, your spend is quite high for 37 nights so you're clearly a higher-end customer and it never hurts to ask however I think your difficulty will be having your request land in the inbox of someone empowered and caring enough to action it. The only certainty you'll get is to jam your stays into the early months of next year while you're still Titanium and reach 50 nights as quickly as possible thereby giving you decent status through 2023 and 2024.

Made it across the 75 line last week. Chose the 5 suite night awards yesterday. Only reason it was important to me was for the United Silver status, since I didn't fly enough with United this year.

If you have found a property with QUALITY tissues, please tell us! Except for our St. Regis stay in PR a few years ago I can't remember a quality tissue product in a Bonvoy room

Haha the FI in NYC I used for the FNCs last year actually hand name brand Kleenex that were good. In general it just makes the room look used to me, and I keep the bad tissues in my car as napkins

There must be a way to "make the room look used" without stealing the Kleenex.

1. Turn down the bed covers.
2. Pee in the toilet and don't flush.

I prefer the �green� approach and usually leave a note that nothing has been touched in the room and no housekeeping is required.

I�m currently on 70 nights when I log into my account But I stayed in the house an element hotel in Barbados from Dec 23-28 for my last night stay to hit Titanium

it�s now NYE and it�s still not showing if it doesn�t show today am I still safe to ensure I�ll be titanium in 2023?!
