Anything relatively new in NJ?

I (unfortunately) have to travel to NJ often for work, usually stay at the Sheraton Parsipany, but really tired of it. It's not awful, but not great. Looking at the Marriott website, I don't see many desirable properties. Any recommendations for something that is newer?

That area specifically or the entire state of New Jersey?

When I do a search on Parsipany 47 properties come up, ranging from 2-17 miles away (not necessarily all new; didn't check on them individually). Some like Hanover Marriott, Westin Governor Morris, MC, Autograph Collection (opening June '19), Renaissance Meadowlands. Would think 47 (dif brands) would provide you with a # of options.

Cheers.

New? The TownPlace Suites Bridgewater Branchburg opened in December. I think a couple RI/SHS's opened within the last year in the state.

The Westin Governor Morris is nice. It's not new, I don't know if it's "newer" than the Sheraton, but it's better. 5 miles away.

The MC, part of the Autograph Collection, opens in June, depending on when your stay is. That will certainly be newer.

Thanks. I’ve done the Westin Morristown before. Rooms there can be hit or miss. The bathrooms are tiny for the most part. I’m hoping when the autograph collection hotel opens I’ll have a nice option. Reviews of the Marriott on route 10 seem so so. Do they have a lounge?

There is a new CY in Wayne. It's located in an odd spot, right where 23 and 46 interchange, behind an office building. Nothing special, but it is brand new. I stayed there last week.

thank you, good to know, thought I'm not a fan of CY, my experience has been that a newer limited service hotel is better than old full service hotel.

Not new but last year (around November/December) the Renaissance Woodbridge was going through a remodel. They were just starting but it might be worth investigating.

Not a Marriott property, but I’m a huge fan of the new Archer Hotel in Florham Park:

Beautiful modern hotel - always a delight to stay there. Funny now that I’ve reached Lifetime Tatanium I feel free to stray!

It looks like it has become a Delta hotel.

Any experiences on how the Parsippany area properties are handing the pandemic?

For one night in August, I'm looking at the Sheraton Parsippany, the Hanover Marriott, of the Westin Gov. Morris. Paying with a certificate so the cost is the same, as is the parking fee Obviously a lot will change over five months, but any guesses who is most likely to have the lounge and/or restaurant open? Best elite treatment in general?
