Question Can a Platinum member get benefits for a reservation under spouse’s name?

My wife uses her free night to book a room at a The Luxury Collection hotel and I’m a Marriott platinum member. Is there any chance we will still be able to get the benefits for a platinum member, like free wifi, free upgrade, lounge access …?

Lounge access no longer is a published benefit of Plat status at LC properties. [It was under SPG.] Some properties may continue to offer it, but others such as apperently The Nines in Portland do not.

IME, I get on-site benefits when showing my card at check-in. A friendly request will go a lot further than a DYKWIA moment. This is not required by the program but a goodwill effort by the property.

It depends, for some hotels in Asia, if you as a platinum member are added to accompany list which recorded at hotel system, you and your wife might have the benefits of the platinum member, even you booked with her free night voucher.

My Wife and Daughter have always received the Platinum Benefits when I booked a room on points. I haven't tried to book a paid reservation and add my wife's name.
