Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel (YUL) [Master Thread]

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a decent rate - 1 night January 21, 2019 please? We are on our way to Hawaii for our second honeymoon so maybe a second honeymoon rate ?

Thank you!

Try AAA

On-property hotels will always be able to charge a premium vs. off-property ones

Why is it important to be in terminal? There are several at YUL with shuttles. Is the shuttle not a honeymoon experience? Do note there are some that say 'airport' but that do not have shuttles.

I got nothing for you. Although the Marriott is my favorite hotel at the airport, I also really like the Aloft and Sheraton. The Sheraton is old but the rooms are clean and have been refreshed. Both are on airport property but not attached to the terminal. As an aside, the Marriott is often $250-300CDN and the Sheraton/Aloft will still be at $100-$150CDN....The Marriott does have a fantastic restaurant!

Thank you! I was hoping for the Marriott because it is dead in winter and we could eat in the hotel or terminal. Are there any restaurants walking distance fro the other two?

Thanks!

Nothing in walking distance. You can take the terminal shuttle and eat at the Marriott (really quite good), or there are a couple good restaurants a pretty short UBER/LYFT/Cab away. I personally enjoy DaMangione for Italian about 5 minutes away. If you're willing to go a 10 minute drive from the airport, I enjoy Natalino even more (in old town Duval, it's an intimate Italian place in a 100+ year old house), or Burger Town.

Finished my stay here a couple of weeks back before heading out for vacation. We arrived during the snowstorm so were very happy to be on site.
Hotel is modern, nice rooms and views. I thought they had a great little club lounge in comparison to some others in North America.

This place can become pretty expensive at times. The rates during our stay were running between $250 - $350 / night if I recall? Not so sure it is worth that but it is a connected airport hotel.
Would definitely recommend - very convenient with all the facilities you need!

I really like this property and the convenience of being in-terminal, especially when hauling luggage and kids, no need to wait on a shuttle. We were upgraded on our last stay to a huge room with seperate living area that overlooked the left side of the tarmac. The breakfast was very good and the menu for dinner looked decent, although we went out for dinner the last time we were there. The gym was a good size with all the gear we needed for a workout. We have only used points to stay here but it's always been pretty reasonable (20k), probably since we usually pass through here in the winter.

Do these guys offer day rates considering it's an airport hotel? If so what are day rates classed at 6 hrs, 8, hrs perhaps?

After I posted I decided to send an email to hotel as well. Greedily Marriott in Terminal at Montreal only provides day rates during daylight hours, thus totally discriminating against those pax whose connection may fall in night time hours. I was always under the understanding airport hotels sold rooms in blocks of hours e.g. 6 hrs , 8 hrs, 10 hrs etc. Montreal Airport Authority needs to get involved here considering Marriott are sold as "in terminal" and physically part of the airport per se. Marriott In Terminal Montreal's greed is not appreciated at all. So much for the hype about caring for tired guests or putting guests first in transit coming off long and ultra long haul flights. Nobody is denying Marriott tthe right to run a profitable hotel but behold corporate greed at its finest.

I had a solid stay here earlier this week. Flight cancelled so booked in overnight mid-afternoon. Was upgraded to an airport view room. Solid gym. Nice small club lounge. Evening offerings were not extensive (light snacks), but a great view over the tarmac. Room was well-soundproofed and dark. I'd stay again in similar circumstances without hesitation.

I also had a semi-voluntary stay here recently, thanks to Air Canada back in June. It was a Saturday night stay, so I think the lounge was closed? Took breakfast benefit at Cafe Illy (one entree + one drink per pax); also had a late dinner at Bijou Sat. night. Both meals were fine. Didn't get upgraded, though booked at 9pm and checked in pretty shortly thereafter plus there were a ton of AC Jazz cancellations that day, so meh.

My only two minor notes are:

- we weren't on the airport view side, but could hear airplane noise as takeoffs went past our end of the building (room x48)

- this isn't the only place I've seen this bizarre design choice, but: one side of the shower forms the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom; thankfully it's frosted/opaque glass but if you are sharing the room with anyone, better be comfortable with the possibility of seeing vague silhouettes of each other showering, and also the potential light issue if you get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night

Overall however, agree that this is pretty solid and convenient as an in-terminal hotel.

You had the same problem as me... somehow I doubt they'll easily pay the $1000 compensation due for a 9h+ delay .
