How long should we wait for that to happen before we follow up? I filled out the online form to report a missing stay (checkout date of September 7). I got an auto-response, but I've heard nothing since. Do emails to that address go to the same place as the online requests?

If you have sent in a missing stay request to us, it will be posted to your account. Our teams have received numerous emails since the merger on 08/18 for missing stays so there is a greater than normal wait time for these stays to post to a member's account. We do expect this to be a temporary delay and as our systems are refined, so will the stay posting process. Our apologies for any delay and inconvenience this may cause you but rest assured, we will make sure your account is credited.

At at least you got an auto response I didn't even get that. I'm still missing a stay checking out August 31st. I've submitted that missing stay form 3 times now and I feel like it just goes into a black hole.

My account activity is partially up to date. Got 2 stays that still not recorded. Night count however, is correct.
No idea about the accuracy of points posted.

I have been waiting for a multi-room stay to post from July and sent my third request in. It was a month since my last request. I did get a quick response but the answer was they are still unable to post multi-room stays from before the IT merger date and they do not know when this will be fixed.

I stupidly checked out with the Marriott app so I dont have a folio to utilize for a missing stay because it never came via email as it should. I do have the "You've checked out" screen I captured from my iPhone, probably did that because I knew this would happen. Can I utilize this in an email to stay.add to get the stay posted? I am dreading having to get on phone with Marriott reps for a chunk of my life I won't get back.

Check your junk mail folder just in case, my latest one went there

Sadly we all need to take a step back in time and get paper folios and take pics of them for any record keeping/submission

Your best bet is to just call or email the property and ask them to send you a copy of the folio. While still a nuisance, it is generally quick and easy to get the folio sent. Then you will have all of the documentation you need to submit for your missing stay request from MR.

With the current version of the electronic checkout, I usually receive a preliminary copy of my folio by email the morning of checkout. As long as I do, I still use electronic checkout even if there is still a pending restaurant or misc. charge. E.g. it is close enough for expense reporting purposes and claiming stay credit. When I get the preliminary folio via email, so far I always get the final folio the same day of checkout later in day. If I don't get the preliminary folio via email in advance, then I do request a paper folio from the front desk on my way out (also a nuisance, but one I rarely have to do anymore).

So I emailed the hotel and got the folio, will submit for credit via email. Big stay for me, puts me over 750 nights for LTPP.

My most recent stay took 4 days to post and appears to have only credited the core room rate and not the $250 or so of incidentals. Yet another thing to chase up my poor Ambassador on - it looks like i’m going to have to start keeping a list of active queries as he’s apparently no longer getting the resolution that he used to (and a lot more problems).

How long does it take your elite status to update after you hit a threshold? I have a 4 night stay at Frankfurt Marriott this week and my YTD is currently 72. That means I will hit Platinum Premier once the stay posts, but I don't know how long it will take marriott to reflect this. I have lots of upcoming stays and would like to get any extra perks and points the PP will give me.

No standard seen yet. Issues begin with which account number the hotel has attached with the rez (it should be your current account and not legacy SPG or account closed by combining accounts). Then how quickly the property submits your stay (some do that the day of check out others may be several days latter, they have up to 10 days before you are allowed to submit a missing stay request). Lastly, a delay may occur is there is background work being done on the incoming transaction channel or on your account specifically.

Before the merge, two days was about average. All over the board after the merge, some still waiting for transactions to show from before the merge (though the totals updated, which is what you should be concerned with). Generally, the rule is benefits for higher tiers only kick in after they post and not when earned. Epitome of the hurry up and wait game.

I sent an email to the property asking the status of my 18-20 Aug stay. Here is the reply from the property

I have call and re-send the email to Marriott Rewards regarding your missing points. According to them, they are still experiencing higher than usual email volume on Missing Stay and other Marriott Rewards related issues. They will endeavor to posted the points just as quickly as possible. Max will be 3 month.

We appreciate your patience and we will update you regarding this issue.

Thank you
Seriously it will take up to 3 months? What Marriott will do for the people that do no complete the 50 nights because of these missing nights?

Are you guys experiencing a slowdown in how quickly points get posted after a stay? I was recently at the St Regis Mauritius and the points never ended up posting, so I had to call in and have them manually post it. Now another property (W Hotel) isn't posting in a timely manner, despite the fact I travel there every month for work and the points have historically posted within a day or two of checkout.
