The Marriott website shows no availability for any date 1 year into the future. However rooms can be easily booked at that property through booking.com, Expedia, etc.., any other hotel booking portal. Why can't I book directly through Marriott?

I see lots of availability on the Marriott website, of course it's in Portugese, but it's there.

This is just a shot in the dark...I had a similar issue with another Marriott hotel, no availabiltiy, which I thought was crazy...then I noticed that Marriott had added the "phantom child" that we do not have, and this hotel was either adults only or didn't allow 3 per room...changed it to 2 and all availability appeared.

Thank you for posting. I have been running into the same issue for a few weeks. I thought it was my browser.:( Even if I set the search back to 2 adults, marriott.com may add a child back after a few searches.

This problem has literally multiplied since the latest website "enhancement". It used to be occasional but now I can't do more than two searches without it happening, and it disqualifies one from many European hotels and alters room availability (e.g. only two queens instead of one king) in many North American searches. In Europe it can also alter pricing dynamically. This is now the first thing I check when hotel availability dramatically changes in a matter of minutes.

Interesting. Will check for that one in the future.
Searched for a night in Las Vegas and EVERY hotel came back with "Sold Out". Wondered what latest IT shenanigans caused that one.
Would never have thought to check for a phantom child. Haha

Though of course it could have been a totally unrelated bug as well.

It’s happened to me recently. I thought I had accidentally clicked on the child option. Never dreamt that it was Marriott IT modifying my search!

Thanks for the suggestions, I was hoping it would work..I tried on my phone, computer, different browsers, logged in, logged out, even in Portuguese :)...no luck, shows no availability at any time.

How many nights are you looking for? I could not pull up availability for 1 or 2 nights, but I can for 3 or more.

That was it!!. Apparently you have to put in a 3 night minimum, but unfortunately the Marriot website does not indicate any error or anything if you do less. THANKS!!

I almost exclusively use the app, but, trying to report a missing stay and I’m not able to log in. Suggests incorrect email address.

i signed out the app, and signed back in, and that worked. I was worried maybe I’d been hacked, but the app is working just fine.

i’ve also not received a bill from a stay last night, so need to follow that up.

Frustrating day with Marriott systems.

Edit - tried Safari on my phone and that seemed to work.

I had this and didn't think to consider it a bug. I just kept thinking I was clicking child by mistake!

Looking to book a hotel for Fri and Sat nights (May 16-18). Search says Sold Out. "View Other Dates" says Friday is not available for check-in. If I change the search to just Friday night for one night, rooms are available. If I check in Thursday for 2 nights, rooms are available. What's going on here? Rooms are apparently available for the nights I want. Is there some trick or workaround to get what I want?

Why don't you just book 2 back to back reservations and get on with it? Why do you need 1 reservation for both nights?

Because Friday-only shows rooms, Saturday-only says not available.
