Ex Hilton Innsbruck, and it was an Holiday Inn before.
Close to the railway station (walk) and to the city centre, bus and tram stop nearby, from top floor rooms beautiful views of the mountains.

In fact, I really love Innsbruck

I have a stay planned here with an early (630am) flight out the next morning, a Saturday. How easy is it to get to INN from the hotel?

Very easy, max 10 minutes by taxi. Just let the reception know 15 minutes in advance.

Normally the rate is 100ish and 300ish in peak season.

But on Dec 28, they charge 1000 Euro for a room that can be redeemed for points. No other non standard room can be booked.

What is the game?

We had a nice stay her at the end of February. Easy access to skiing (Stubai glacier, Kuhtai, Axamer and more). Very clean, large room, no lounge, 'upper floor' was the upgrade I guess, but breakfast was fully included for 2 as a Platinum. I thought it would be only a 10 Euro per day voucher, so this was nice. Parking was 50 Euro for the first 3 days, then 20 Euro per day after. Right downtown, easy walking around.

I recently stayed at the AC Hotel in Innsbruck last week. Was proactively upgraded to a Suite with Mountain View facing the Alps as an Ambassador and opted for the complimentary breakfast. I was definitely impressed by the breakfast buffet and the friendliness of the staff.

I also enjoyed the Christmas markets in Innsbruck compared to Salzburg and the lack of them in Germany on this trip as well.

Just completed a three-night stay here.. paid rates were around €160 so I chose to use points, at only ~15k points per night I felt I was getting a really solid deal. I applied SNAs and received an upgrade to an Executive Suite. Note: I still had to pay a €6/day tax of some sort, which surprised me but not a big deal.

Arrival
The front desk service was the lowest point of my stay. We arrived via train from Munich around 140PM after an easy 5 minute walk from the station. The front desk told us check-in was 3PM, I asked if she could check if our room was ready (being Titanium normally this is not a big deal) and she took a cursory glance and confirmed the earliest check-in was 3. We went and got some lunch, came back shortly after 3 to a line of 6 people waiting to check-in. Each check-in seemed to take at least 10 mins so even with three agents working we still had to wait at least 20 mins to get our keys (no elite line). By the time we got to the front there must have been 12 people or more line up.

The front desk agent noted the fold-out couch wasn’t made up, but that someone would come up and make it - which did not happen. We also were not able to get a 4PM checkout - they hesitantly offered maybe 2PM but that wasn’t going to work with our plans so we didn’t bother. They stated they only have 4 suites so I didn’t want to push it.

On the plus side, we were offered free breakfast for my family of 3 as a welcome gift option and took it. I was also glad my SNAs cleared and (other than the bedding itself) really appreciated the room was already set for 3 people, e.g. 3 bathrobes and sets of towels - seems this is often ignored.

Room
I was told there are four executive suites and ours was two rooms wide, with a full bath in the bedroom and half in the living room. The view of the mountains is magnificent. Everything was clean and worked well. The food-out couch was very bad and I wouldn’t sleep on it myself, might be OK for a child who isn’t picky. The windows open and our room was cool enough just with the fresh air. The church bells start at 6am and ring in earnest at 7am so run a white noise machine if you want to sleep in. I didn’t hear any noise from inside the hotel (despite being across from the elevator), there was some minor noise from outside (e.g. the church bells) but nothing too bad.
Breakfast
The breakfast crew was great, very kind and quickly remembered us by name. The food was perfectly adequate; one highlight was fresh honey from their rooftop beehive (I also received a jar of this to take home as a gift). I cannot keep Marriott breakfast rules straight by brand and appreciated getting free breakfast for my family at this hotel.

Location
Very convenient.. 5 mins to the train and very close to old town. We took a public bus from across the street to the Mieders Alpine Coaster which was an absolute blast. We also really enjoyed riding Tram 6 (the starting point is a 15 min walk) up to the end - great views and we stopped at a swimming hole at Lansersee which was really fun for kids.

A casino is in front of the hotel but I didn’t see a single person coming or going from it.

In Conclusion I loved the surrounding area, but I was not crazy about Innsbruck itself - it felt very overrun by tourists, like one of those cities where the cruise ships (in this case tour buses) dump off thousands of people per day. If I came back, I would probably try to stay further up in the mountains and enjoy the Alpine activities - which my family found to be the real highlight vs anything Innsbruck itself had. With that said, this hotel is a very convenient base for exploring and the public transit works very well.

Executive Suite Bedroom (with full bath past bed)

View from Executive Suite - truly magnificent in real life, the picture doesn’t do it justice at all

That is funny timing, I just came to this thread earlier today and was surprised to see no reviews since mine from 18 months ago. I will be arriving Feb 6th and will post my experiences, not sure if that is too late for you or not.

I’m just wrapping up a 5-night stay here and have enjoyed myself. I used it partially as a base for KitzSki (not optimal but doable) and partly to explore the area.

Booking and Check-in
Paid rates were around $200/nt and a points redemption was just under 100,000 including fifth night free, easily surpassing my $0.75/pt metric so I chose to use points. I booked a King bed for 2 adults / 1 child and a rollaway was promptly delivered at no cost.

I arrived around 10am from Bolzano Italy. It’s a 5 minute walk from the train station. When I last stayed in 2022, the front desk would not even consider allowing me to check-in before 3pm. I am not the DYKWIA type but am accustomed to some flexibility as a Titanium.

In any event, this time I was warmly welcomed at 10AM and the front desk noted although checkin was 3PM, they’d gladly let me into the room right away. The checkin person was great and spent probably 20 minutes with me talking about different sightseeing ideas and her personal favorites. Additionally, she gave us free “Welcome Cards” which provide free transport in Innsbruck city limits and some other benefits. Innsbruck is so small I didn’t really need the transit but I appreciated it anyway.

Room
Last time I used SNAs to get into a suite. This time, the suites were sold out and I didn’t expect an upgrade. We had a Mountain View room in the top floor and could see a sliver of INN in the distance.. very interesting to watch the planes fly through the valley on the approach.

No noise at all in the room. Everything was clean and worked well. Absolutely no complaints.

Breakfast
The checkin agent offered us 500 points, the $10 F&B credit, or free breakfast for my family of three. Naturally we took the breakfast same as last time.

The buffet eggs are not good (industrial mini omelets) but they offer eggs cooked to order. Everything else is pretty tasty and standard. The Milka dip (tastes similar to Nutella) is really delicious!

Location
It’s a great location. A short walk to everything. The tram stops in front of the hotel along with several bus lines. I went to KitzSki two days which is doable but a decently long ride. If you’re going to be doing a lot of transit I’d recommend the VVT Tickets app and consider the Wochenticket Tyrol, €46 for a week of unrestricted transit in Tyrol. We also did a day trip via train to Seefeld-in-Tirol which was really pretty and has plenty of winter activities.

Bedroom (the rollaway arrived shortly after and there was enough room by the window)

Bathroom

View from our room - INN is in the mid-right of the photo, it was easier to see at night

Breakfast varieties. Skip the omelet but everything else was good.

Great photos - thank you! A Milka dip sounds interesting - I am a sucker for their blue wrapped bars!
