Thanks to the hotel's location in the very heart of the city, both culture and business are here within easy reach. We offer 151 air-conditioned rooms with modern audio and video equipment, access to the Internet and a magnificent panorama of Katowice right behind the window. Wishing active leisure? Visit the hotel gym or spend your free time playing squash. Refresh yourself every day at breakfast with over a hundred fresh products to select from. Located on the top, the 27th floor of the building, the hotel restaurant serves both international and local cuisine, as well as offers a broad range of drinks and desserts."

Hello everyone,
It’s my first ever contribution to the forum, so I’d like to say hello and greet everyone.
I wanted to very briefly describe my recent stay in the to-become Marriott Katowice hotel, which is currently functioning under the name "Altus Prestige" hotel. My general impression of the hotel was awesome, because of the modern ambience and competent staff. The hotel rooms occupy the floors from the 19th (I think) till 26th, with the 27th being wholly dedicated to the 27th Floor bar. As two floors are currently undergoing renovation, even if the hotel is fully booked, you won't get a sence of cramped atmosphere, and the breakfast was tasty, with touching views of the city from the sky. What's worth mentioning is extremely reasonable pricing of the hotel: you don't have many 4* to-become-Courtyard hotels serving Metaxa Brandy for 4 Euros, do you?
Best regards, if you have any questions, I will try to answer them, because I stayed in the hotel for over a week, so can write some more.

Surprised to see a thread for this place & thought I'd write a short review. Very central location, quick walk into old town Katowice with restaurants/drinking spots, ideal for Spodek evets (Mayday).
I generally avoid Courtyards in the US and EU, so can only compare this place to several Asian properties -- and even then, Courtyard Katowice can hold its ground in terms of hard product. The hotel occupies floors 19-27 of a modern building, so views are generally good (although some of the surroundings still have the charm of the socialist era). We were upgraded (as Tit) to a "suite" with view of the old town. It's not technically a suite (with separate rooms), but rather a large corner junior suite with lots of seating. Was perfect for our needs. Nespresso machine, bathrobes, and generally of a high standard and in good repair. Only complaint would be the stupid frosted bathroom doors, which guarantee that the entire room wakes up when one person has to pee at 3am.
Breakfast is available at the restaurant on the 27th floor, and although it is a nice buffet, its not worth the 99 PLN they're asking ($25). Of course it's not free for Tits, but you get the $10 daily credit per program rules. Even when that discount is accounted for, I'd much rather walk 10 minutes to Kafej, which had delicious food and drinks.
The front desk staff were unusually standoffish (even by Eastern European standards). We weren't greeted as Tit or given much of an introduction. Pretty much show ID, receive keys. At some point, the keys stopped working, so I went back down to the front desk -- different person, but once again no eye contact or more than a few words uttered (and none of apology). Finally, at check-out, the stupid breakfast credit. I asked if it had been taken off, the agent said yes. I pay (which involved lots of sighing and switching to a different computer), look at my receipt, and notice that she'd taken off ONE $10 credit rather than four (2 guests, two nights, 4 breakfasts on the bill). I go back to the front desk to get it fixed, more sighing and typing, discussion among colleagues how to best resolve this (cancel transaction and run again, issue partial refund, etc). Certainly reinforced my dislike of Courtyards and the daily credit system. That said, I suspect that this may be the best hotel in Katowice, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
