B****r. Must have stayed there 30-40 times and really like it. Much more so than St George. What a bummer...

Klaus K (Helsinki) apparently no longer Marriott

Apparently the Klaus K hotel in Helsinki (Design Hotels) is no longer partnered with Marriott. I booked a room there back in November for a current business trip, after verifying that it was being marketed through marriott.com (it was). Made the reservation directly with the hotel due to a much better rate, and had them add my Bonvoy number right after the reservation was made -- no one said anything other than "no problem!" When I checked in I asked to confirm that my Bonvoy number was in the reservation and was sheepishly told that they no longer partner with Marriott and that I wouldn't get any benefits or points. I wish they would have notified me ahead of time.

Any thoughts on whether Marriott may step up and provide credit given the situation?

I have to give some kudos to Christina and the Marriott Social Media team. They responded right away to my previous post above and have been of tremendous help in making things right. Nice work!

Thanks for reporting back but unless you signed a NDA, can you elaborate on what “making things right” includes?
