I am wondering how much more drive time it would be to head into the aloft gran via vs. here (by taxi/Uber). I arrive at 13:50 (from LAX) and depart the next morning at 9:00am. Am I saving more than 15 minutes in each direction?
If there isn't a lot to do in this area, I'd probably prefer to take a walk by the Aloft and be going into town anyway. I have a free night cert which seems wasted here (17k points vs 41k at the Gran Via, which would only be a net 6k point difference).
Thanks in advance.

For such a long layover, especially since your flight isn't too early in the morning, I'd definitely head into the city centre.
That said, I recently stayed at this hotel for an overnight layover and had some of the best service ever received at any Marriott property.
