I have following case, the lowest available rate on booking.com is $584, flexible without breakfast.

Marriott sells same room on prepaid rate without breakfast for $589, on lowest flexible rate with breakfast $735. There is no flexible rate without breakfast available at all.

Can I still submit LNF claim vs. any of those rates? In case I submit flex vs. Marriott's prepaid, will the rate remain prepaid or will they convert it to flexible? Is it possible to submit lowest flexible booking.com vs lowest flex Marriott that comes with breakfast?

You need to book the same rate type on marriott.com, i.e. flex without breakfast, if you enter rate code REG or RAC usually reveals a flexible rate room only rate but maybe you already tried that?

Thanks, didn't come up with that! I have earlier submitted claims using different rate for matching room type and different room type but matching rate, in both I put in comments that the rate/room type combination I claim against is not available at Marriott.

I have now submitted another claim using REG rate code, just hoping that they will review the claim before the competing rate is gone

Two stays with 30 nights each, so the savings will be significant!

Thank you again!

Hey,
New here and Question.

I am booking the cosmo in vegas from 10/12 to 10/19. I sent to marriot.com and found my room Terrace Studio, Guest room, 1 King, fountain View, balcony.

If I book the lowest price which is there stay more than 3 nights and save 25% I get the following prices:
12th = 307
13th = 300
14th = 232
15th = 380
16th = 410
17th = 270
18th = 217
  • Total cash rate
    2,116.00
  • Resort Fee
    245.00
  • Estimated government taxes and fees
    315.90
  • Total for stay in hotel's currency
    2,676.90 USD

If i go to the cosmo site for the same room, booking through the hotel I can see each night is a few bucks cheaper and labeled It saves like 7-10 a night but I should get 25% off then

The two sites are are
cosmopolitanlasvegas
marriott

I get Fri, Oct 12, 2018$ 300.00Sat, Oct 13, 2018$ 292.00Sun, Oct 14, 2018$ 225.00Mon, Oct 15, 2018$ 370.00Tue, Oct 16, 2018$ 400.00Wed, Oct 17, 2018$ 262.00Thu, Oct 18, 2018$ 210.00

under the new T&C rates found on properties’ standalone websites cannot be used as comparison rates on a BRG/LNF claim.

did anyone manage to get approval with ZenHotels?

The replies i've been getting was simply: "I am denying your claim because Marriott has determined that a valid Marriott reservation cannot be completed using the comparison source provided."

I usually jump into their face like an angry monkey when receiving such a reply and force them to compile an intelligible response. I think everyone should do this to teach them that this is no way to communicate with customers.

HTB.

And pray, how exactly do you "jump into their face"? And does it result in a successful LNF at the end of the day?

IIRC Zenhotels doesn't immediately confirm. Hard, if not impossible, to get approved.

Does Marriott allow one to LNF on a rate that's not available on Marriott, but available on 3rd party like SPG?

Ok...I'm an SPG punk and have had outstanding success with the SPG BRG program......Literally just started getting onto the Marriott website (almost pulled my hair out ) I just need some education on the LNF program. I have gotten so much information lately with all the changes and don't know whether I'm coming or going because I have received so many different answers on so many different things.
In the past with BRG I could put a claim in from say Expedia or wherever and just book the refundable rate always against the BRG. What exactly are the rules with the LNF....If I find a rate on say Expedia that is lower do I have to book the same on Marriott - I put in two LNF early this morning and they both got denied.....they didn't say why other than the competing rate could not be found. I went back to the websites and they are there? What am I doing wrong as they didn't tell me? Ultimately I want to book all my LNF's on a refundable rate or is this just wishful thinking.

You are probably not doing anything wrong. Check to make sure your comparison rate is still there and then email them back and ask them to check again. Explain exactly how you found that rate so they can duplicate. iPhone, iPad, computer, app, safari,Firefox, etc.
Goid luck.

Good day all. Couldn't find this so apologies if it's in an FAQ somewhere.

Firstly, I recall reading somewhere that LNF claims can be for up to three rooms - can't find it in the T&C anymore though. Am I correct?

Secondly, while I know we will only get night credit for one room and points for the others, can we opt for 5000 points and receive 3 x 5000 points if 3 rooms are booked?

Lastly, is it usually recommended that we do 3 individual bookings or 1 booking for 3 rooms?

Thanks, obviously an SPG transfer here.

I haven't read through this thread but couldn't one simply print the website onto a pdf and send it to them - rather than - or along with - sending a direct link?
