Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina. Lots of restaurants within walking distance one being Boatyard for a cool vibe seafood restaurant or a more local feeling Southport Raw bar. Both fun a night before a cruise. Pool area is nice and you can walk over the causeway bridge to FLL Beach. It's a good exercise walk. Also it is very quick easy to get to from FLL airport.

We are in to Miami for a few days prior to heading to Dom Rep for our main holiday.Wan't to avoid the hustle of MIA and FLL so was looking a bit further North towards Deerfield Beach or ??? Would appreciate any recommendations. Looking for somewhere close to the beach and restaurants so ideally don't have to drive. Don't want to spend a massive amount of points but hopefully you nice group can suggest something that fits the criteria.

If you are departing MIA, I suggest Coconut Grove. Quick and easy taxi ride. The Courtyard is a great choice, walkable to great restaurants and the marina and re-modeled coco walk. Gorgeous pool.No beaches walkable. But Hobie beach in the bay off Rickenbocker causeway on the way to key Biscayne is an easy taxi ride and you dont have to worry about parking. Then walk across the street and eat at Rusty Pelican. If you want quiet then stay on Key Biscayne but its going to point heavy.

If you have a car and want to go North and want the beach then Pompano Marriott Beach Resort may be the cheapest on points. Nice hotel very friendly, beach is great and the new pompano pier and restaurant are really great.

Enjoy SoFlo!

Any recent stays at Renaissance Boca or Westin FLL (not beach)? Stuck between both for an upcoming business trip.
