Your statement contradicts itself... If having the BDAY night post causes another regular night to roll, why would you not consider the BDAY night rolling over? MR plays all sorts of games with the numbers it's easy to get messed up. THEY even messed up when rollover nights first started.
Ahh--you are right. It will rollover and my statement was completely flawed!

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a "Happy Birthday: A Gift for You" Elite Night today from M.R. Totally unexpected but greatly appreciated.

So I get the email saying Happy Birthday, click here. I click and it takes me to the main Marriott Rewards page. No extra night shows in my account. Am I missing something?

Now redirects to a page that says please confirm, shows my name and MR number, and then says extra night is on its way in next 48 hours. Took about 18 hours from the time the email came IIRC. I guess patience is a virtue here.

I happened to check in at a Marriott hotel on my birthday and all I got was a room one category below what I had reserved Well, I got what I reserved after complaining.

I'm a typical "please leave me alone" Finn thou so I don't mind too much whether people totally unknown to me wish me Happy Birthday or not. But I guess this thread is about birthday gifts, not wishes, and that I totally understand, like any FTer I guess.

Cool. I must have entered my B-day a long time ago, because I received the email for a one night credit as a birthday gift. Already posted to my account as well.

Small consolation for getting older, but I will take it.

Elite night credit

I was promised an Elite night credit to be posted in 48 hours will it be under "Rewards Certificates"?

Can I combime my Elite night credit with points for vacation stay?

Jim

I thought "Elite Night Credit" just meant getting credit for a night's stay that qualifies toward elite status.

Good point; didn't think of that. My answer was pertaining to a free night cert.

OP - were you promised a free night certificate or just elite night credit?

Cheers.

An elite night credit was promised. What does that mean? Jim
