Thanks. Just want to reconfirm as I am only Gold. By booking an Executive room I will get free breakfast in the restaurant in addition to Club lounge access, correct?

Number 1960 is the one for you to take, as it mentions "Taipei Citi Hall Bus Station" (where W is located) in the information.
I got to say this webpage is not designed for our convenience in mind.

Hi everyone,
We are planning a trip to Taiwan late November through early December and would like some feedback between the W, LM, Westin, and Sheraton with regards to central location to food entertainment and dining in addition to Platinum guest benefits like complimentary breakfast and lunch lounge etc.
You help is most appreciated for us to determine which property to book, thanks in advance

Spent one night here late november. Got extra SNA to burn, so opted to use the SNA. Confirmed junior suite 5 days prior to arrival. Breakfast is taken at Discovery on 1st floor since the executive lounge is now open at 10am. Soft drinks (x4) and beer (x4) in the mini bar are still complimentary in the suite. I did enjoy the noodle bar. Did not try the egg station this round.
However, I still prefer staying at W Taipei and having breakfast at Kitchen table.

Been to both Le Meridien and W a few times now and both do appear to be generous with the Platinum suite upgrade. Unless it's a crazy busy time, you'll likely get the suite, especially at Le Meridien since there are more Junior suites.
And just realized those chocolate pineapple cakes by Chocoart given each day by housekeeping are $5 USD a piece if you buy them in the bakery downstairs. With coffee, it basically is sex in the mouth.

Just had a terrible stay at this hotel and will be reflecting as much if I get a post stay survey.
Arrived at the hotel at 4:30 and was told my room wasn't available. Was sent to wait in the lounge (I'd booked an executive room), and was given a room at 5pm. Isn't the official checkin time 3pm?
Didn't get any further upgrade as I'm just SPG Gold, but was pleasantly surprised to see that soft drinks and beer are complimentary for all club guests, and that I also get a T$500 laundry credit.
I was staying for two nights, which means a T$1,000 credit right? But no, the hotel said the T$500 has to be used on each day of the stay. No combining allowed, so as silly as it sounded, I had to spread my laundry out over the stay. When the shirt was returned, it was on a hangar even though I had told them I wanted it folded.
At breakfast, I was told it wasn't included in the rate, even though the welcome letter said breakfast is included for club guests at the ground floor restaurant. Much commotion ensued, and finally they decided I was to be allowed in.
Nothing spectacular about the breakfast, looked like any other Asian breakfast to me but with the additional bonus of ice-cream. One really grumpy female server who got really angry when I told her the green tea she served me was actually black tea, but all ok otherwise.
The penny pinching at this hotel is ridiculous. I took a look at the minibar menu, and they charge T$100 for every extra bottle of shower gel and shampoo you ask for?? I didn't ask for any, but it just seemed ridiculous to be asking for an extra T$100 when you are already paying T$11,000 for a club room.
Tried to use the complimentary taxi ride once, but was told my room was a free upgrade to the club floor and as such doesn't get any of the club benefits. Long argument with the operator before she finally put me on hold, checked with her supervisor, and said that I had actually booked a club room.
Had a friend come over after breakfast, so we went to the club for a cup of tea. Was told each additional guest would be charged T$400, even if it's just to sit down for a cup of tea at the lounge outside of happy hour. I decided T$400 was too much for a cup of tea, so I left for someplace else.
I'm a Hyatt loyalist so don't do SPG hotels much, but is this the norm for SPG clubs? At the Hyatts I frequent, I never get charged unless it's happy hour or breakfast hours.
Anyway, the bottom line is that everything that could go wrong went wrong. I didn't expect this from a Taiwanese hotel, but it feels the same as some of the hotels I frequent in third or fourth-tier Chinese cities: Great hardware, but awful and really rough service. Their prices are on par with some of the better HK hotels, but lacking any sort of professionalism you'd come to expect at that bracket.

Yes, several thread about this issue. T&C says it is for registered guests up to 2 in the room but it is not always enforced.
