Thanks to scubaccr for the info (as of Dec 1st 2016)
o If you have lounge access you will be given room in new West Tower, So do not use East entrance or east checkin desk.
o don't use original main entrance to East Reception,
o Enter by car at same main security entrance
BUT
o Circle round and keep going to West Entrance
o have car/taxi carry on round "internal Marriott Road" to access next Marriott entrance at the West Tower Reception
(If you carry on round the public road, security guy won't let you into Marriott through second set of entrance barrier from the road ! (I tried 4pm today, 7th Jan))
Reason
o West Tower reception and elevators is quite some walk from East Tower checkin, and is on a lower level, and early December the escalator was not working so had to hump suitcases down stairs at end of inter-hotel East-West walk
o west tower entrance (similar to East entrance) once reached, hasextenal xray screening machine to screen all guest luggage before entry to hotel.
As it was explained to me, guests can accompany the elite member into the lounge for a meeting or to relax, but only 1 guest per elite member can take advantage of dining options, and this is strictly enforced during breakfast. Additional guests can dine for an up charge, fees listed below.
Executive lounge hours:
Open from 6a - 12mid every day
Breakfast - 6a - 10:30a (1000php for additional guests)
Afternoon tea - 2:30p - 5p (750php for additional guests)
Hors D'oeuvres - 5:30p - 7:30p (1500php for additional guests)
Evening Snacks - 7:30p - 9:30p (1500php for additional guests)

I guess we look for different things. The lounge was huge, and empty when I was there.

I've been trying to book here and it is only coming up with one room option, it does not even let me specify what type of bed it just says Guest Room with either King or 2 Queen Beds.
I thought that bed type was guaranteed or was that just an SPG guarantee?

Looking for Marriott suggestion in Manila. This will be in December for two nights at the end of our Korea & Thailand trip. I've been to Manila once for one or two nights and stayed at this Airport Marriott. I really liked the property (especially the lounge), but the location is lacking. All the casinos were full of smoke which bothers me. Is the airport Sheraton any better or the Sheraton that's outside the airport? My wife will be with me this time. We're both 49 and she is Korean. All three properties are about the same cost (in points).
Also looking for a response to post 102. Has anyone used the pedestrian walkway to get from terminal 3 to the hotel?

Looks like the new pedestrian footbridge from T3 to Newport City just recently opened. It's now possible to walk from the airport to the Marriott and other nearby hotels. Although it's still a few blocks away from the hotel entrance, I wonder if they will send a shuttle bus to pick up guests.
Earlier in the day, Marriott told me (through chat in the app) that shuttles were only available at the top of each hour. Glad this was false as I was about ready to walk.
Lounge on 2nd floor in West wing. SNA cleared for our 2-night award. 1 BR Executive suite overlooking the golf course. Its very busy here.

Landed in T3 this afternoon. Upon exiting baggage claim, go right all the way until you see the sign for Manila Walk. If you go outside to escape the crowds (like we did), you have to eventually go back in and wait to screen your bags. You need to take two or three escalators up to the top. Just follow the signs. You will end up on the 5th floor. Then there are some moving walkways you can take if there isn't a guy sitting there waiting to pick you up in a golf cart. We took the cart. It takes you to the end of the walk where you need to take the elevator from the 5th floor to the ground floor. We exited the elevator at 5:25 PM and the armed guard asked where we were going. When we said "Marriott", he took my wife's bag and escorted us to a white van that drove us to the hotel. I think these same vans go to the Sheraton.

Let me enhance your guide:
Upon leaving the baggage claim, go right until you see the Jollibee (restaurant) or simply just follow the "Runway Manila" bridge directions.
You'll see the escalators on your right, take the 3 sets all the way to level 4, then go left towards the food hall (restaurant section), then go left. You'll see a KFC and just continue along the corridor till you reach to Runway Manila, the signs are easy to follow. You'll probably even notice the "Manila Life Cafe" by Marriott Manila, which serves upmarket versions of the local cuisine, Filipino breakfast bowls, and other delicious bites.
The elevators are all the way to the right of Jollibee, towards the airport staff entrance, elevator is on the left before the doorway. Arrivals (Level 1), Airline offices (Level 2), Departure (Level 3), Restaurants and Shops (Level 4) and the Runway Manila bridge entrance.
The golf carts are there for senior citizens and those with mobility issues, but the driver will accommodate anyone when not busy. The first moving walkway (upward) has been under-maintenance for some time, I think 2 months already. Runway Manila is very convenient even if you don't intend to go to the hotels (Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton, Holiday Inn Express, Okura, and etc.) since getting picked-up / dropped-off from the Runway Manila entrance is much more calm than at the airport. Just tell the guards where you want to go, they'll assist you. Marriott Manila is the first stop of the shuttle, make sure to indicate which wing you'll be staying, the West Wing (newer) is where the club lounge is located.
If you don't want to wait, go towards Belmont Hotel, cross the pedestrian and enter the Marriott Grand Ballroom, turn right and go all the way to the rear and take the elevators all the way to level 3. To the right is after the skylight is a passageway and bridge to the west wing.
Resorts World Manila is a jumble of hotels under one developer. You'll soon have The Ritz Carlton in the area, which replaces the existing Maxims "6-star" hotel that's next to Marriott. I'm betting they'll add a couple more of hotels in the area.
Enjoy your stay in Manila!

Breakfast for TIT-Es was complimentary in the ground floor restaurant as well. I went down this morning, but quickly left as it was way too noisy for me.

Runway Manila (Pedestrian Bridge) 24/7 Shuttle Schedule
Here's the current 24/7 complimentary shuttle schedule for Runway Manila (The covered and air-conditioned pedestrian bridge from NAIA Terminal 3) to Marriott Manila and other hotels.
Note the 30-minute intervals on the hour.

It had rained recently, so there was a lot of standing water, which made maneuvering our luggage a bit difficult. (I would not attempt this in the rain or with two suitcases each.) My family enjoyed a delicious buffet in the downstairs restaurant, with a friend. I did not get the Titanium discount, because the buffet had already been discounted 50% with a piece of paper taped over the regular sign. We took the complimentary Resorts World shuttle back to T-3.

I will be there this Sunday night, staying with my wiife one night on a 35K certificate (would have been a 30K point redemption) from my Marriott Business AmEx, before moving on to the Sheraton Manila Bay for four nights in her name and paid with her Chase Marriott Bonv°y Visa.

Hi SPSN lifer,
Any news regarding both of these hotels would be appreciated, as I'm unsure which one will provide better service. Based on my initial research, I believe both these hotels are where travellers are quarantined. I'm interested to learn if that's indeed still the case and if yes, are the quarantined people on the same floors are non-quarantined individuals? In Canada, the hotels where I've stayed the quarantined and non-quarantined guests are in separate wings, so just curious to learn how they're handling this situation.

There are some cases of quarantine guests from overseas who are PH citizens but unvaccinated. In any case, they have a pre-departure 48H negative PCR test results or pre-departure 24H negative Antigen result. They are quarantined for about a week pending another PCR test result about 5d after arrival.
In both cases, they are on separate floors with elavators that are locked on their floors.

In the Philippines, there is isolation hotel and quarantine hotel. MR properties in PH are not isolation hotels. Most "quarantine" guests are just staying overnight pending results of PCR test done in MNL to travel overseas, as a requirement by whoever.
