Interesting I sent an email to both addresses listed in a previous post, and got two different replies! One of them says T3 Bay 12, and the other Bay 8.
FYI: From [email protected] We wish to inform you for Terminal 1 shuttle, Kindly exit gate no. 2 after Customs Area, and turn right as you cross the street towards our hotel counter. The operating hours for Terminal 1 shuttle is every hour on the hour. For Terminal 3 shuttle, Upon exit kindly turn right and look for Bay 12, that would be the waiting area for Terminal 3 shuttle. The operating hours for Terminal 3 is every 30 minutes. Please be advised that our Airport shuttle is operating 24 hours From [email protected] I have attached maps from the airport terminals for the complimentary shuttle. With regards to the complimentary airport shuttle, we do offer it for all guests visiting the Resorts World Complex. It runs every hour, 24 hours, 7 days a week to and from all Terminals of Ninoy Aquino Airport. Our shuttle buses are distinctly recognizable since all are colored yellow with large Resorts World Manila murals on each side of the bus. Pick-up points are as follows: Terminal 1 – hotel counter (arrival area) Terminal 2 – Bay 20 which is located between the international and domestic arrival area Terminal 3 – Bay 8 But please be advised, that since it is on a first come first served basis, delays may be inevitable since it may depend on how many guests will be taking the shuttle. [Both also confirmed the Exec Lounge is open daily from 6:00 - midnight] I'll add the maps later (when I figure out how to do that). |
Departure tax has reportedly dropped from 750 to 550 PHP.

Update on the airport transfer: It was super easy and you can't miss it. Just walked outside and it was waiting for us. Did online check-in for the hotel and the key was waiting for us at the front desk. Service was great, room was beautiful (with a magazine-like bathroom), and Lounge open until midnight!
Very VERY nice property. |
Thanks for the previous useful posts for this hotel, which my wife and I might visit month. A few questions:
1. Most generally, any recent reports or other updates for this hotel? 2. I understand that it's connected to a mall. Any other things (sights, shops, restaurants) worth visiting within walking distance? A quick taxi ride? 3. Is it at all near the Fort Bonifacio development area, with its shops and restaurants? If so, how far a taxi ride? (FWIW, I used to live in Manila and have returned there several times on business trips, but am not very familiar with that neck of the woods.) 4. If we go, it might be on points. Any experience with complimentary upgrades to larger rooms or suites for Golds. What if we're willing to pay more points or $$? 5. Sounds like it's pretty close to the airport. Any estimates on how long a taxi ride to the domestic and international terminals? Thanks for any help! |

Can't answer your other Qs as I've only ever used it as an overnight with a morning connection to somewhere else. But if you want to visit Manila then this is not the area I would want to stay. Makati would be better, near the Intercontinental. |
Thanks very much for the useful reply. But I know Makati, including the Intercontinental, and wonder why you recommend that neck of the woods. Aside from Greenbelt, is there anything special in Makati? In contrast, I'd think that the Marriott would be closer to Intramuros, the Corregidor ferry, places to catch sunset by the bay, etc.
Having said that, I'm not challenging your welcome reply and advice. I just want to better understand why the Makati recommendation. |

Having said that, I'm not challenging your welcome reply and advice. I just want to better understand why the Makati recommendation. Last time I was there the entire area around The Marriott (and the airport) was one big construction site. Maybe its finished by now? There is also a new Hyatt that is supposed to be open soon (or maybe already?). Dream City or something like that? |
Oh, I agree re Manila. I have a few friends to see there, plus my wife will be teaching a one-day class there, plus I'd like to show her around a bit. And I think Filipinos are great. But I wouldn't consider it a great city by a long shot.
Having said that, we'll need to spend a few days there on the front and tail ends of our trip for the above reasons. Hence my questions about the Marriott. FWIW, I'm also considering the newly opened Hyatt. If anyone's in a position to compare the Marriott and the Hyatt, I'd welcome it. |
2016 Updated Information?
Hello all. I have just booked 5 nights at this property at then end of march into April. Has anyone been there recently? What can I expect as a Platinum?

tapping this thread up to see if anyone has stayed recently. Have an overnight at MNL and this looks like it would be easier to get to the the Conrad.

Taxi took 1hour plus toget back to NAIA terminals next day, 30-40minutes back to airport area, then 20mins round airport to terminal I needed Marriott is opposite T3, 10minutes, and a taxi to worst located T1 is less than 200php and 20minutes. I won't be using Conrad Manila again ps Unless a full suite at Conrad , bathrooms are Shower Only, in case one expects a relaxing soak after a long flight! |
Marriott Lounge moved to New West Tower (30Nov2016)
The end of Nov2016 the Exec Lounge was moved from East Tower to the new West wing tower (2nd Floor)
The new Exec Lounge is at least 2x as large, and very nice Warning for regulars not stayed since 1st Dec 2016 =========================================== o If you have lounge access you will be given room in new West Tower, So do not use East entrance or east checkin desk. o don't use main entrance to East Reception, o Enter same main security entrance BUT o Circle round and keep going to West Entrance o have car/taxi carry on round "internal Marriott Road" to access next Marriott entrance at the West Tower Reception (If you carry on round the public road, security guy won't let you into Marriott through second set of entrance barrier from the road ! (I tried 4pm today, 7th Jan)) Reason o West Tower reception and elevators is quite some walk from East Tower checkin, and is on a lower level, and early December the escalator was not working so had to hump suitcases down stairs at end of inter-hotel East-West walk o west tower entrance (similar to East entrance) once reached, hasextenal xray screening machine to screen all guest luggage before entry to hotel. |
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I created a wiki w/ your info.
Cheers. |

Finished a fantastic stay at the Manila Marriott. It's now one of my favorite properties.
Received at front desk upon arrival, and escorted right to the executive lounge to complete check-in formalities. Personally, it feels to me that checking in at the executive lounge takes significantly longer over checking in at the front desk, but all employees were extremely polite. A new tower [West tower] recently opened. It's significantly quieter than the hubbub of the main tower. An additional pool and restaurant is due to open on the roof of the west tower any day now (it was still under construction during my visit). This will alleviate some of the need to go to the main building - which is a very long walk, as the one person posted above. Executive lounge: very large [it rivaled the size of many airport lounges/clubs!] and was never crowded at any time during my stay. Breakfast is plentiful with made to order eggs and both Western and Filipino dining options. Breads and pastries baked on site -- all very delicious. Open bar during the evening hours. Meeting room and computer workstations available. Staff working at the executive lounge are great and will go out of their way to make guests happy. As it was explained to me, guests can accompany the elite member into the lounge for a meeting or to relax, but only 1 guest per elite member can take advantage of dining options, and this is strictly enforced during breakfast. Additional guests can dine for an up charge, fees listed below. Executive lounge hours: Open from 6a - 12mid every day Breakfast - 6a - 10:30a (1000php for additional guests) Afternoon tea - 2:30p - 5p (750php for additional guests) Hors D'oeuvres - 5:30p - 7:30p (1500php for additional guests) Evening Snacks - 7:30p - 9:30p (1500php for additional guests) Hotel directly connected to Resorts World Manila, with a multitude of dining and gaming options available. |
