On a serious note with all the info and pictures posted on forums, blogs and Twitter someone could actually get robbed.

If that happens, those people have only themselves to blame for the "look at me and what I did" attitude.

Box them up? They go into bags of $2,000, usually clear plastic which cost less than $1. If they use a counter, the bags attach directly to it.

I'd find a different back - this on is feeding you a line of BS

I agree... I did feel they were not being straight with me.....
....the way a bankers face twitches when he is lying.....

When they asked why so many coins,
I could have said none of their business,
but on a whim told them the coins were from a Poker Game !!

A silly response, but more fun than the truth.
......and these are not CBP people (or are they ??)

I don't care right now....they are my closest bank,
and a few more months at CITI yields another 10K AA.

Don't have the next bank promo targeted yet,
but I am sure one will come along soon.^

Spotted: Coins in Circulation!

Just bought a big chocolate chip cookie at the coffee bar in MSP. Handed the gal 3 coins. She gave me a big smile. I asked "Do you get many of these?" She scooped a handful of $1 coins out of her cash drawer to show me.

Looks like some of you have been here already today!

Very true but I would not wish that on anyone.

I used some of these up at the horse track the other weekend (planned on doing it anyway)...they only took cash, ATMs charge ridiculous fees, got a few looks, but they loved it. Wonder if they paid anyone out with them...?

Dumb question, if I cancel my order, how soon they will release the initial authorization on my credit card?

From my experience, they didn't ever cancel the hold. The card I was using auto-expired it after 10 days since it was not converted to a real purchase. That window will very card-to-card.

Thanks and guess I have just let it auto-expire then.

I like to switch my dollar coins for $2 bills at the bank, THEN go to Saratoga! Call me a traditionalist, but $2 bills are perfect for the track.

Plus, although the bank may not appreciate getting dollar coins, they do like the chance to unload $2 bills! (I also tell them "I like the uncommon money", or some such thing.)

You follow your UPS driver to the bank and watch him deposit your $250
