Things didnot work out so well with Bank of America. The innitial loading of the account at application posted as a "purchase". Subsequent loading posted as "cash advances". I spoke with two CSRs and one supervisors each of whom said loads from a BofA Visa to a BofA VisaBuxx account would be "cash advances". They could not explain why the innitial loading posted as a purchase. Has anyone had experience loading from a First USA visa?

I have a VisaBuxx by US Bank. I use my Aadvantage Platinum Mastercard to load money, and the charges post as purchases.

Contrary to the mentions above, my US Bank card does enforce $300 weekly limit.
|
Interesting, so if you try to do $200 on day 1, and then $200 4 days later, it won't work? I wonder why I'm able to get away with it....not that I'm complaining.
|
So has anyone else starting doing this? Just wanted to see what the experiences have been like, as mine has been very positive.

Once account opened, can multiple teens be added beneath the one login : username and password ?
Am able to w/d 200 in single day. Have you had to wait 4 business days or just 4 days ? |
Can only answer your 2nd question. I've been able to withdraw $200 every 4 days (not business days).
|
It is a mysterious product, indeed. I have to withdraw my words above about the limits.
My current hypothesys is that it allows to withdraw $400 in 4 business Post days - notice that it has "transaction date" and "post date". Daily limit must be $200. Unlike Citicash, it does not allow to add a second credit card or even to replace an existing one. I wonder what happens if CC expires ? |

Is anyone still doing this? Does it still work?
|
Yep, I still do it. I have 6 cards (3 in my name, 3 in fiance's name). I've been doing it for months now, and haven't run into any problems. With the 6 cards, I'm getting 9,000 miles/month. It's a great way for me to pick up extra miles.

I did manage to use it a couple time though... |
