I buy InComm SecureSpends and Vanillas from time to time, and previously could reliably buy 3 card or less of $500 each and never have a swipe problem, but am now getting these locked after swiping even if 2 are purchased together. 1 is still ok. Has InComm tightened the noose yet again? It's such a pain to talk to their outsourced streetshitters on the phone

I think he means that if he bought the 3 GCs in the same transaction, the cards are getting locked if he tries to swipe multiple of the cards when loading or buying a MO.
Easy enough theory to test out. Not sure why people are blaming the buying more than 1 gift card together as the problem instead of multiple swipes on 1 MO transaction as the problem. |

If this is indeed the case, then just make 3 separate purchases of 1 gift card each instead of 1 purchase with 3 gift cards.

Yeah, that's pretty obvious. I don't think it's the buying of the cards together, but rather swiping the cards more than once within a short time period. Do you have any data points to share?
I never want to have them to send me a check or anything. Checks get lost in the mail. I only do one swipe. Period. |

Not sure if you're aware, but you come across as as kind of blunt (some might say outright rude/ condescending ) . Seems like you'll happily benefit from data points that others provide, but don't share many of your own. Maybe it's time to re-read the rules of this forum?
Several years ago, someone already posted in the Newbie thread what to do and I have followed his advice to this day. I ask for datapoints for others who insist on doing the risky multiple swipes. For datapoints to be useful, they must include all the relevant information. Most of the datapoints given are incomplete. This thread is about InComm/Pathward breakdown which means which ones work and which ones don't. But people insist on doing multiple swipes which render a perfectly useful VGC useless and locked. That is not on the VGC itself. |

I don't care about data points of multiple swipes, because I have done multiple swipes and never will.

The fact that you don't care is obvious. Following advice that was given to you years ago might be foolish, as conditions and circumstances change. What works fine on one card may have different results on another. Clearly you can understand that, correct?
Choosing to do something that wasn't intended such as multiple swipes when one swipe alone would work is being obstinate. You are certainly welcome to continue to bang your head on the wall and whine about it not working |

I have no difficulty "connecting the dots" if the dots had complete information.
Things haven't changed. It has actually gotten worse. Choosing to do something that wasn't intended such as multiple swipes when one swipe alone would work is being obstinate. You are certainly welcome to continue to bang your head on the wall and whine about it not working If things have gotten worse, that is change. I guess you struggle with this concept. Reading comprehension is clearly not your strong suit, and you just make yourself look silly with your posts. The only one whining here is you, champ. The rest of us are providing data points to help each other out. All I see you ever do here is patronize other contributors or those who may be new to this hobby. You must be really fun at parties... |

You choose to be obstinate and rude. That's your prerogative. Just be prepared to taste your own medicine (which you clearly don't like the taste of).

No nerves hit. Just tired of the condescending way you talk to other people here. So I'm calling you out. If this was a reddit forum you'd have negative karma and I wouldn't have to say anything. But it's not, so this is your friendly reminder to brush up on the rules of this forum and treat people respectfully. It's not a difficult concept really.
Are you threatening me? |
