You're in every single thread muddying up what should be very straightforward and constructive conversation. I pop onto FT like once a month to see if the ODOM sale is on. Maybe check if anyone has had a liquidation failure lately, but it has become exceedingly difficult because every thread has 2-3 pages of bwdyfan bickering with everyone.
You are stalking me. LOL. |

Okay. Whatever. I explained to you how I get 8x with gas and it is NOT with a Wyndham biz. I actually get 11x altogether. I was told a long time ago, assume = a$$ out of u and me It's like saying if I buy gas on my Chase Freedom when gas is a 5x bonus category, and then redeem them with a 2x Points Boost through the Chase travel portal, my CF earns 10x on gas. |

We're talking about cards that earn 8x on gas, not how you turn gas purchases into x% cash back. Those are different things, try to follow along.

If I count the TYP, I get 11x redeemable for statement credit. You don't have this card, so you clearly don't know what I am talking about. Don't worry about. You don't want this card. |

The ex-Citi SYW --- now Citi TY MasterCard --- lets you redeem TY points at 1:1 for statement credit
if you have another Citi credit card such as the Custom Cash or Double Cash. If you buy 2x $500 VGC at a gas station that will let you buy them with a credit card, you get ($80 - activation fees + 5% TYP) which works out to about $115 depending on the activation fees. |

Where's the $80 coming from?

There's a targeted offer of 10% statement credit for the first $800 gas/grocery/restaurant spend each month

Which Citi card? I can't find any type of application page for Citi TY Mastercard. Does any Citi card work? I have Strata (no annual fee) and Double Cash. Not sure if these even work.

Has anyone successfully used an InComm MCGC to make income tax payments at ACI or Pay1040? I tried recently and the card got declined and frozen for "Security Policy". I called and the agent said they don't allow transactions at that "merchant", which seems crazy since it's a well-known site for tax payments, and now I'm wondering if the real issue was that I tried to use the full $500 right after activating it, which earlier posts say is a known issue. I'll likely try again with a lesser amount, but would rather avoid having to be sent yet another card if someone knows that it won't work.

these are issued by pathward and serviced by Incomm |
Follow-up on using an MCGC for tax payments at ACI: even lower amounts were denied for "Security Policy" (I even tried this ZIP code trick), but at least they didn't brick the card.
I'm assuming this policy applies to all cards serviced by InComm. They were already known to be problematic to use for federal tax payments. |
I’ve had a few Sutton VGCs declined at WM for $500, and the transaction history shows “Declined – Security Policy,” but the card status still says “Active.” In this situation, what’s the best way to try again next time? Should I wait a certain period or try a different load amount at WM?

Incomm is known to decline $500, doesn't matter if its Sutton or Pathward. Even $495. I seen them declining those. For me, I use the card for a small amount, then let it sit for a few days. I have no problem draining the remaining amount afterwards.

Use the card several times for small amounts over a multi day period, then finish with the large transaction. This probably baffles the AI following card activity making it think that this is a normal person using the card. Some additional DPs with this method would be useful for validation. |
