I recently got a promotion offer from PFS Buyers Club. I can't find any mention of it anywhere on the interwebs, so I thought I'd ask here if anybody has received this offer.

This is what the email says:
For this deal there is no need to purchase or mail anything. Simply sign up for a SoFi Invest account via our link, deposit $50, and we will pay you $105. Please click here to learn more and get started.
Please note that this deal has limited availability and the link is unique for you, so please don't share.
If you are not interested in these types of deals, please click here to unsubscribe.

I logged into my account on their webpage and the offer is there too. Why would they give me $105 just for signing up for a SoFi Invest account? It says I have to click on their link specifically and will have to enter my SS # and banking info. I guess this is normal when signing up for an investment account, but something seems off. What do you guys think? Has anyone else seen this offer?

IF it smells too good to be true, it almost always is.

Rather than sign up for the So Fi account with their link, just go to So Fi directly and see if any sort of deal exists. I suspect it doesn't.
And I certainly wouldn't be giving out any personal or financial information through an unknown link from a dicy email :o

Once you find out this is a phishing email, delete it and block the sender.

Just curious is Costco sensitive to buying groups? They seem to be about the only retailer that actually has the items at the advertised price from the buying group. It seems good, but I would hate to risk my Costco account in the way that people have had Amazon accounts closed.

A few years ago my order would go through but now they are always canceled so I don't even bother trying anymore.

Does anyone have any feedback on BuyingGroup.com?

Efficient logging in of shipments?

Any lost items? Resolution?

Payout time?

Restrictions on what will be refunded and how much. Not everyone has been refunded from BG or MOD. Totally understandable but there needs to be transparency and clear cut guidelines on getting refunds for lost, missing, or stolen items.

And how has your experience been regarding payouts and the other points I mentioned?

I have an AMEX Business Business Plus card. I was thinking of using the buying group to take advantage of the 0% for 12 months on purchases however it seems like these buying groups there is a risk of problems.

Is there anyway I can liquidate this card or transfer the balance to take advantage of the 0% for 12 months on purchases? Plastiq isn't taking Amex anymore.
Are there any other methods you guys can recommend?

"PSA since the birth of TDB/BG brand we have always covered the losses of our buyers as far as lost or missing goods that retailers would not cover you guys on. " Seems pretty clear. I personally had lost items covered.

Good. They’ve improved a lot.
