Im in the middle of dipping my toes to BGs.

My workplace is near MoD's warehouse in LA. I have dropped off 4 items so far and its working well. The problem is I had to eat the taxes. I am now thinking of scaling it up by getting a reseller certificate. I dont mind the dropoff cause it minimizes the risk of losing goods.

Anyone here have similar experience? I am contemplating if I need to open a separate LLC business. I also have a W2 and a legit LLC small business that I report income to the IRS. Im wondering how it will affect reporting of taxes from my LLC income bundled with an almost zero sales tax reporting. I see BGs as a reselling business with low profit reporting but I dont know how the IRS treats almost zero sales tax. Im worried about an audit though.

I was out of the game for a while. Just need to spent about 5k now.
Is BG and Maxoutdeal still worth to deal with now?
I saw the trend is 2+ weeks for payout from the time they marked it as received.

Amzn seems to be cracking down on buying group orders. Now automatically canceling Apple goods that I have purchased before. Anyone else have the same issue?

Yes, it doesnt matter if its something I've ordered a ton of or not. I haven't bought a ton of Macbooks and it won't let those go through. Sucks, because I added $1000 to my amazon account....

Trying to meet a retention bonus on an Amex Gold also, anyone had any issues shipping straight from apple? Thinking of sending a new phone there way.

Reading this sends chills up my spine.
I am certain, that although I have never subscribed to the concept of a buying group, if my name had been on a client list of the business the Feds just busted, it would make my nights a bit like Halloween, ...spooky ::o

I suspect shipping gray market electronics overseas probably put them (and other BGs??) on the Feds radar screens.

BTW, what is MOD...a buying group??
Edit: just learned MOD means Max Out Deals...a BG (read the affidavit)

I am pretty sure that it's not a crime to sell lawfully obtained merchandise to a third party, even if that third party also accepts unlawfully obtained goods. Really wouldn't worry about it. I certainly am not.

I am also wonder how people who live in sale taxed states deal with product sales taxes when using BG's. I read it is best to ship directly to the BG but every time I try to do direct shipment my orders are always canceled so I gave up on that.

I was part of the Duck Deals GC BG until it ended. For GC there was no sales tax to worry about. Does anyone have good groups?

I tried placing some orders for BFMR today through Amazon after a few months of neglect. Two Apple products (including one I've never purchased before) and then a Fire TV stick. All orders were cancelled within a few minutes with the quantity limit email. That was pretty much the last merchant that I still bothered with, everyone else was too much hassle.

Is the problem the address being attached to a buying group or the items themselves?

I suspect Amazon can flag anything they want, including recipient and sender names, items, addresses and prior histories of items received or sent.

They are a huge company with highly sophisticated IT. It's just that they are huge and like most, that size, are slow to react to changing situations.

But they do react eventually, especially if they think that Feds feel that some laws are being either stretched or broken. :o
