Venmo . I hit that hard.

But I was cheating on them with everyone else too.

No regrets... except not hitting them all harder !!!

I used US savings bonds, some small bank that offered fee-free GCs that you could cash in at your bank, Microsoft's search engine promotion with the word games, and some of those mentioned above. All of those together didn't gain me anywhere near as many miles and points as I've earned in the last two years, though.

Ah, US Savings Bonds and Charter One gift cards. You've been doing this a while

Nothing like buying multiple $5000 Savings Bonds on any credit card. Or opening bank accounts with tens of thousands in opening deposits charged to a CC.

Well, I couldn't do that much. I was still low on funds after living in Norway and coming back with a little over $1000 in my bank account. I could only afford a $1000 bond every 4-6 months at my new job.

After my BC caps at the end of Feb I'm officially retiring from MS. Reward vs effort just isn't worth it anymore. A solid decade of hardcore MS. Can't (really) complain.

Big shout-outs to:

Uncapped BC
Uncapped BCP
Amex
Amex Prepaids
Safeway
Reloadit
OG Reloadit partners
Blackhawk Network
BHN Prepaids
US Bank Prepaids
Bluebird
Serve
Walmart Money Center
Kate
Fred Meyer
Money Orders
Bing 35% Cashback @eBay
Other CB portals

Oh and a big preemptive FU to the person that comes in here and exclaims "2016 is going to be the greatest MS year ever!!"

Stop it.

11. BankDirect (still available for smaller amounts, but with new caps, gone are the days when I was earning 40K+ AA miles per month) (in addition, the accounts used to be free, but now have a $12 monthly fee).

12. Capital One Rewards Checking (previously, a good source for Hyatt and other hotel/travel GCs).

Chase fee-free GC for those glorious months back in 2013. Fun times at the Kates, which were all working back then.
