Gas Stations Selling Visa Gift Cards (take Credit Card Payment)
*Will only code for gas, if gas station attached. YMMV depending on location.

Tom Thumb
Mobil
Cumberland Farms
7/11 (some 7/11 stores will deny if paying with CC! [working fine in Indiana July 2018]

Cash only:
Tom Thumb (may vary)
7/11 (some 7/11 stores will deny if paying with CC! I place those locations on my blacklist ) [hard coded change end of March early April]
Valero (they *officially* stopped accepting credit cards for variable load VGCs late 2015, but started really enforcing it in January per a manager I spoke to in January 2016) / Houston Valero Corner Store (may it RIP all the way back to the VR days)
Family Express (Indiana) (as of ~ 2/10/17 CC no longer accepted)

what this guy said.
some people just want all the hard work done for them lol

if life were that simple, MS wouldn't be a thing, I'd just pay someone to do it for me!

Here in Chicago, in my experience anyway, finding a source for $500 gas station VGC has been pretty difficult.

Gotta be the hardest to source out of the triad of drug stores, grocery stores, gas stations

If a place is reported enough, they get threatened with having the fees they pay the credit card companies raised for non-compliance with acceptance policy and that usually gets them in-line since they don't want the fees hiked!
should we all be pulling together scratching ea others backs on this??
or is it not true?

my honey holes are going dry right in time for 5% gas stations. i found a new one and it lasted two days before i singlehandedly got it sent to debit only...

Valero might be getting harder. I have been told cash/debit only for the variable load VGCs at each of the ones I've tried (most don't have the variables, only $25/$50). At one an assistant manager said that's been the policy for a few months, but the company really started cracking down on employees around Christmas. As always YMMV they never have me a hard time before.

does racetrac allow you to buy VGC using credit card?

i have tried 2 or 3 racetrac in dallas , tx and all shot me down by saying just debit or cash for vgc.

In Baton Rouge and tried a Racetrac last month and register was hard-coded for debit only.
