Companion pass southwest

Hi guys,

the good news is that I earned 70,000 points towards the companion pass, THE BAD NEWS is I need 40,000 points by the end of this month.

How do I do that?

Buying points will cost me 600 dollars roughly.

PLease help

I am not new to MS.

I just need a tip to get roughly 40,000 points in 24 days that can count towards companion pass 2015

Gonna be tough especially if your December statement is past. All spending after your December statement gets posted in January which means you would have to start over and need 110,000 Southwest points.

Learn the MS techniques discussed here, 110K done over say 6 months is definitely possible if you really want the companion pass, and the pass would be good until the end of 2016.

Portal bonuses should post quickly enough if you want to do some reselling, but with your statement already cutting your are probably out of luck with just MSing on a Southwest card.

Please visit the Southwest forum. There are numerous threads just like your thread with many helpful responses. Perform searches.

Also, since you mentioned buying points, make sure you understand the difference between "points" and CPQPs and what counts towards which.

Many people have no problem earning their CP in jan/feb - it is nowhere near impossible.

Do you have UR points? You can consider transferring to Hyatt and then to SW. I am not sure how soon points will post since I never did it myself but if you do a search you should be able to find out.

UR > Hyatt is 1:1 and immediate. Hyatt > SW is something like 2:1 and takes ~week. OP would have to burn ~80 UR

1800 Flowers is offering 30 SW points/$ through 12/1. Probably cheaper to purchase the points, but I'm not sure that they qualify for CP.

If you would use it a whole ton, maybe worth it. If you are using it for more than 40K points worth of flights next year, maybe worth it to the OP. Most of us here wouldve just MSed throughout the year, but yea. Portals and transfers are the best options. Anything else is really tiny like erewards or emiles which are going to get you maybe 1000 at most and you would need to have already done surveys.

Not impossible if you double, triple, quad or pent tapped SWA. One can hold multiple cards linked to a single RR account.
