UPside Visa

Has anyone tried MS-ing with this product? (https://www.upsideaccount.com) I'm guessing shutdowns would be a concern but, if not, it actually looks to have potential.

Loading:

Max load of $500 per 24 hours and $3000 per 30 days @ $2.50 per load from CC plus 1% cashback on funds loaded (only with the Edge plan @ $29.95 annually, and no cashback on GD loads).

Assuming you can really max out without being shut down, that's six $500 loads @ $2.50 (i.e., $15) + $2.50 (annual fee $29.95/12) - $30 cashback = a net gain of $12.50 per month.

Liquidating:

Other than presumably MOs, it claims to have an online check writing service @ $1 per check issued.

If my math is still solid and assume they accept OV,

1611.47/year=((500+4.95)*.05-(4.95+2.5+(29.95/12/6))+(500*.01))*6*12
=22.3815277778/each*6*12
=134.289166667/month*12

Their terms and conditions are deceptive. Its true that you can load $500 per day, but the credit/debit loads are limited to $150 per transaction, killing the deal.

Not nessicarily. If you load $150 x3 that's $7.50 per $450 in loads. Then subtract the 1% cash back for each load and you're looking at $3 for each $450 in load. That isn't too bad a deal if you ask me. If you break the yearly fee down per month it's less than $2.49 a month. I'm going to give this thing a shot.

EDIT: Just signed up. Card is issued by Metabank. Ahoy shutdowns.

"Typical Use."

Still, I would expect shutdowns.

Missed that. Looks like this is going in the shredder when it comes in the mail.

Typical Use: Anticipated usage by cardholders. Fee amounts remain the same, regardless of frequency of use.
It's not saying it's limited to two/year. It is saying that's what they anticipate cardholders will do. So it's not a hard limit, but may be a behavior that draws red flags.

the $150 cc limit per transaction is not in the t&c. you only see it when you go to load. also you dont get cash back on cc/debit load, just dd.
