My understanding is that it is ok on an infrequent basis. There are reports on FT that those who have tried to scale this practice have been banned by Staples from making any online purchases.

FYI, HP allows split payment online. Max is 2 cards though.

Did people get the $15 cash back for buying a $200 VGC? My Staples.com $200 VGC finally posted onto my account but I never received an email that said "thanks for using your enrolled card at Staples.com". Is Staples not counting $200 VGCs anymore? Should I call them about it?

IT is for staples.com ONLY! Will not work for in store purchases, so it could NOT be combined with the Staple's coupon this week

I got mine - the transaction even shows "VISA 200 GIFT CARD" in the details.

Staples bans based on physical address, therefore changing email, name, etc. does not matter.

Just wanted to remind people that this offer is for ONLINE Staples orders only....I made the mistake of buying in store. Don't do that same.

E-dabbs even said so (emphasis added):

So I ordered the $90 Quickbooks deal, and then about $15 of office supplies I needed. All on staples.com, all in one shopping cart, and one payment. They showed up on the credit card statement as two separate charges, three days apart. It's not clear to me from the T&C whether this will qualify for the $15 back. Guess I'll find out in November!
