Staples deal is back- Buy $300 Visa GC, get $20 Prepaid Card, 4/13-4/19

4/13 - 4/19

Limit one per household

Combine this with Amex offer and it's a pretty sweet deal.

was $20 off $100 in Amex Sync offers. You need to look at your online
account and see if your lucky enough to have this offer. Mine dont.

$200 and $100 = $11.90 fee + $20 = 8.10 Profit + What ever your card gives + Amex Offer

I'm spoiled with deals like what Office Max had in March with no limits. Buy x value in VGCs and save $x. Those are instant savings then coupled with Ink 5% cb and unlimited purchases makes for a time worthy journey to many stores. Hoping OM comes up with a deal this month to show Stables how much better they are at driving customers in their doors. Come on Office Max!

FWIW -- This is a different rebate offer than the one that ran March 23-29, which was $20 Staples GC for purchase of $300 or more of MC GCs.

I think I would buy $200 x 2 in GCs (if there is inventory) since I couldn't obtain the AMEX offer.

I have the BOA CC offer for 10% CB back up to a $200 purchase. Normally, I would limit buying to the bare minimum ($300 in this case). But because I should also receive bonus when I deposit CB in my BOA bank account, an extra $1 fee is negligible.

Of course, I won't make it to Staples until 4/14 or after, so....who knows?!

Thanks OP! Great deal to stack. I have more than 1 Amex Sync deal (multiple cards) so I can stack two of those and make this a really sweet deal!

I used up my BoA offer on the last Staples one. No Amex for me either.

If your BoA card has 1% rewards, the extra $1 in fees is offset by the extra $1 in rewards for additional $100 spend. And don't forget the .01 earned on that extra dollar!

Good luck finding $200 VGC's at the store. I went to 3 stores this week...only 1 had several in stock. All the stores had plenty of the $100 VGC's and $200 MGC's.

By Sunday, stores will probably have low stock of the $200 VGC's because everyone bought these this week w/ the AmEx promo.

I'm crossing my fingers I'll be able to snag 2 x $200 on Sunday. I'll ask the cashier to do split payment: $100 on AmEx, $200 on BofA and the rest on Ink.

I think its only across one amex account, not card (like the other deals).

Two questions --

1) Is it possible at Staples to somehow split payment? In this instance, those of us with the AMEX Sync deal would want to charge $100 to that AMEX card and then pay the rest with our Ink cards. I know folks do this all the time at Target, Walmart, etc.

2) How strict are they with the "one household" rule? I "synced" 2 AMEX cards for myself, one for my wife, and one for my daughter. I'm assuming I can't get the Staples rebate twice. How likely is it that my wife and daughter could also get one?
