but I'm wondering how exactly it works or what the limitations are. the T&Cs say: Limit one coupon per transaction per day.

does that mean only one $5 discount per day? or only one discount per transaction but you can do as many transactions as you want?

couple data points:

i can confirm that it is only 1 discount per transaction. i bought 4 of the $100 VGC's and received only 1 $5 discount. i assumed that would be the case but, since i was getting the 4x fuel points on the order, seemed worth the experiment given the $5 off goes until the 18th.

i did NOT check whether i could do 2 transactions the same day, as i already know you can't and get the fuel points.

given the # of separate transactions i was doing, i didn't want more attention by making him void a transaction. in fact, i went to a 2nd K (only 5 min away) to lower the visibility of 8 transactions by spreading it between them. especially since the guy at the first store is new/doesn't know me and started to look nervous. as i've said before, i try to minimize my 'anxiety footprint' as much as possible with csr's.

Last time when the same promo ran, I was able to get the $5 by just buying one $100 gift card. Anyone else remember that?

I bought 2x $500 in two separate transactions at the same store and got the $5 off only on the first one...didn't try a different store at the same day yet....anyone?

Fuel points

So is everyone still receiving fuel points for buying Visa gift Cards? And is the $5 good once per day until April 18th, 2015?

thanks. now the Q becomes is it rolling 24 hrs or resets EST/local time for those that have stores open after midnite etc.

not to mention if transactions at other K stores are linked on the same day or not.

Glad to hear that people were able to double dip with yesterday's overlapping promotions. Too bad I didn't get a chance to make it to Kroger before it ended. I will still take advantage of the $5 off a few $500 VGC to help meet the minimum spend on my CSP.

Fuel points are earned on the $25, $50, and $100 MGC and VGC but not the variable load version.

Has anyone tried to use the coupon more than once?

Fuel points?

Today in TN i purchased a Visa Gift card/debit card $20-500, thinking it was debit and i'd receive fuel points. I received no fuel points and was told it was treated as credit. the receipt states i can call and have a pin established. Why weren't fuel points awarded? Is this a new policy or did i purchase the wrong VGC? Thanks in advance for replies!

The answer is exactly 2 posts before yours: Fuel points are earned on the $25, $50, and $100 MGC and VGC but not the variable load version.

Thanks Julian, i read through everything last night and just posted right now. I should have read the last 2 pages of today's posts before posting, figures!

So is this Kroger GC MS just losing its effectiveness or are people buying MOs with 10+ $100 VGCs? doesn't that arouse suspicion?

HouFly Apr 6, 2015 7:11 pm

dangit... looks like the T&Cs changed today: Limit of one coupon per item.

it might have been working during the day as usual. but tried about half an hour ago and it didnt work for me. I checked my digital coupon account and it says redeemed (yest), only available once. and cant add it again for the remaining days the coupon is active :/ not sure if prev you had to add it everyday.
