Yea read the wiki - it says not to do $2k

Y'all were right, I'm sorry. Kate's working fine. I just had one bad card out of 6 this morning, and I happened to use that one first.

I have similar situation like u , but what i do ?

I have plenty 200 Visa GGs

1.I went to the first cashier , let her to load 200gc
2.Then I went to the money center to load another one
3.Final round, go another side of walmart to find another cashier to do it again.

I will take one drink or some small things to make a purchase with my Paypal debit card to get 100 dollar cash-back. So I got 200 dollar cash and load 600 gift card in on trip. If I really need money, I will go to another Walmart to load 400 dollar.

I feel like you can afford to float what you're MSing. rgmonkey obviously can't, and shouldn't be doing that.

When there's no pressure to turn over the cards, it's a lot easier to get it done in a relaxed fashion, even when Walmart folks are being jerks.

Kiosks are still working as of today. No issues loading a metabank Visa GC.

The first $500 went thru, tried to load 2nd $500 and it needed approval, manager came and kept staring and keep standing infront of me until i left. the other WM 15 miles away had broken atm.

Blocked at two different Wal-Mart stores (both at the Money Center cashier) yesterday and today. The cashier's terminal kept trying to process the VGC as a credit card, and they didn't really know what was going on. Worked just fine 2 weeks ago.

I was able to load 2 VGCs via Kiosk yesterday but both Walmarts' kiosks were broken today.

Thanks for the info! I searched and dismissed that thread as irrelevant since I don't go the MO route. Wouldn't have found it otherwise!

No worries! The folks in that thread have things reduced to a science. FT can be an amazing place.

By the way, the kiosks are exempt from the workaround. That is why you were able to load your Vanilla VGCs without any workarounds. The way it processes cards is a bit different than at the MC cashier or checkout line registers. Just follow the wiki in the OV thread that someone linked you to and press the appropriate buttons after sliding your VGC and you should be fine.

I tried loading my card at Kate tonight. The BB card swiped, which didn't work a few days ago, and I was able to enter my amount on the computer terminal screen.

I then swiped the debit and entered the pin and pressed the green button. That led to the pin clearing out. When I tried to enter the pin again, the same thing happened. I ended up canceling the whole transaction and going to the CS desk.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts about how to rectify it?

One vanilla VGC debited but not loaded to Bluebird!!
 

I am familiar with BB loading issues. But I recently ran into an issue when I had couple of failures loading BB. Bought one vanilla and tried to load BB with it. I have been doing the "Change payment" method for a long time now. It usually works.

Last week, it said "Debit not approved" and when I tried the second time, it said - "debit not available". The rep was impatient, so I had to stop trying again. Btw, I am within the daily and monthly limits of BB.

I went home and saw that all the balance in OV is gone! Called BB and they have no record of a failed transaction. Called OV, they said transaction went through alright, no holds, no pending, no issues.

I had to be out of town next day for 6 days, so I didn't get a chance to go to Walmart to inquire. I checked with BB and they opened a ticket. They got back to me and said, after their 'clinical diagnosis', they couldn't find anything wrong on their end.

I plan to:
- Visit the walmart and talk to the manager. But he may be furious to know abt the VGC and not debit card.
- Plan to dispute with BB.

What else can I do?
