Last night I dreamed I found a gas station that would sell me 10k at a time of VRs. I am not even kidding. The demise of CVS VRs has etched itself deep within my subconscious

It DOES subtract other things you purchase (like candy for example) so the cashier was confused when I swiped and the amount only went down 88 cents.
I was able to buy Vanilla Gorillas, however I spent over 30 minutes at Walmart to find the MO machine is broken (CSR called someone to troubleshoot, but I had to go to work). To add insult to injury, the checkout lines were a mile long, so no loading BB there either! BTW, this was at 7am (store opening!), it'll only get worse in the afternoon. Waste of time = no more MS for me, its cheaper to work! Oh well. |

So far at the CVS's I've been to in Socal, I haven't had any cash-only denials YET. I've also been picking up $2-3k in VR/day since Sunday with no issues. After failing at 2 CVS's with the pre-auth error for Serve on Monday, I was successful at loading 2x$500 last night. This morning I went to a different CVS and was able to load another 2x$500. Interesting thing is that the exact memo we've been seeing was taped up by the register with big red letters that said READ! This was the first time I've seen the memo in person. I went ahead and tried anyway and it worked, so looks like its not hard-coded at the register YET. Trying to do as much as I reasonable can before 4/4.

no go at both cvs nearl hertel in buffalo.
may still try the 2 out in farm country tomorrow after I get home but figure they will be no go too. stopped at a new RA to get 4 MPs to make me feel better. they insisted on single transaction...which triggered fraud alert lol. no big deal, will go to my usual ones tomorrow. now to find new food for my birds! |
