I'm not saying it's not possible from a physical standpoint. What I am saying is that I doubt he was going into the bank every week with nearly $100,000 of coins each time. Mind you, this is every week for eight months.

Maybe mint exited more than 8 months? I heard bank account funding lasted for over two years and lots of people caught only the tail end of it...

The article states 8 months.

Lest people forget, Pickles had very large amounts delivered on a regular basis before the Mint began to limit sales. This story, as fantastic as it sounds, and despite the claims that it's somehow illegal, is not far fetched at all.

Whatever happened to Pickles. I haven't seen him in forever on FT

Not going to the bank - banks plural - we used 12. Granted it is alot of physical effort and you begin to run out of friendly banks after you start breaking the coin sorters. Still, it was doable as we ran banks of PO Boxes over here with virtual cards and multiple AUs. Some folk are now running 400k a month using current (noncoin) opportunities.

Mark Twain actually had an interesting comment regarding the death of bank account funding. Thanks to Marie Laveau everything put in the ground doesn't necessarily stay in the ground.

I like to just get to the point. (& I thought the mod wouldn't appreciate my pointing out that they were mis-reading the TOS) :D

That article gave me cancer.

I enjoy the armchair lawyers and people that can tell me I am committing a litany of crimes. All for moving my own money from place to place.

You don't need to actually commit any crime to get into trouble with the cardinals of The Spanish Inquisition. But every living soul remaining in our custody will eventually confess to committing a crime.:D

As for whether the cardinals know anything about money money laundering, ask Google "Why did the Vatican stop processing credit cards in January?"
