KLIA lounge options; Main or Satellite

Hi All,

Further to my previous post, I'd like to canvass your opinions on the 'pros' and 'cons' of each of the two business class lounges accessible to international travellers at KLIA (satellite and main).

Having researched using sites such as lounge buddy, I'm not really any clearer on which is better to pass time at.

Im specifically interested in;

-accessibility and standard of shower facilities
-quality and choice of dining options
-availability of alcohol
-quality and availability of seating

Any insights most gratefully received!

Just go to whichever is closest to your gate as both lounges have very similar offerings.

If your flight leaves from the C gates then stick with the Satellite. Otherwise, stay in the Main Terminal.

Hi

A question about these two lounges. Can a passenger with an MH business class ticket (but no other frequent flyer status) bring in one guest (economy class ticket flying with MH too but a different flight) into the MH business class lounge in KLIA? Both passengers on transit.

Thanks!

You may need to purchase a lounge access or get somebody with status to "guest" your companion.

Last I checked it was MYR150 (~USD35) for paid access. I wouldn't say it's terrific value but still a much better deal than what US carriers charge for day passes to their crappy lounges.

I have just been in the lounge in the Main Terminal which I thought was far more congenial than the one in the Satellite. The service was excellent, the food options good and there was plenty of space, even though the lounge wasn't too large.

I understand that MH will renovate all their lounges. IMHO the lounge in the Satellite badly needs it.

My experience as a OneWorld Emerald member was that the satellite lounge is much better than the main terminal lounge. But if you only have access to the business class section then there is probably little difference.

Agree with the above, Satellite F Lounge > Regional J Lounge > Satellite J Lounge.

Not the worst lounge, but as their flagship lounge, the Satellite J lounge is in need of a refresh...
