MAS on the day upgrade

I am flying Economy to Auckland from LHR and my return journey via Melbourne with MAS in Nov/Dec.

Do MAS offer discounts for the on the day upgrades to fill up seats ?

But again it will depend on the type of fare you bought and the difference between the two.

With MH joining Oneworld now, I think you'll see less of 'last minute' upgrades. Upgrades may eventually be offered to the higher class fares.
