Was working on this for another client's Spring break and my FSPP friends informed that they are renovating all of the Ocean View and Ocean Front guest rooms. Reno work is happening now and will stop by mid-November as they need all rooms to be available over Thanksgiving week. Earlier this year they opened the Dos Ctarinas Restaurant (since February).
If you need photos of the new room, I might be able to get some. Feel free to DM for any additional info as well.
Cheers!

I'll be there next week but will be in a ocean view casita - I'll report back on whether or not it's been updated.

Update to provide - just finished a stay here with my partner and we were upgraded from a garden view casita to a premium ocean view suite w/ a private plunge pool. I booked through FHR, not sure if that's why I received the upgrade, or if it's because I have a personal connection with the Four Seasons who emailed the resort ahead of our arrival. It was truly an awesome experience and an awesome resort...we didn't want to leave the resort to do anything at all - it was perfect just relaxing on their wonderful beach and in the swimmable warm ocean (I don't think you can swim at StR?).
Our room was beautifully renovated & the only construction going on is adding a taco bar to the main new (and beautiful) restaurant, Dos Catrinas. It didn't interfere with our relaxing / quietness at the resort. If you find a good rate, I highly recommend booking it. Way better than FS Maui IMO - this is truly a private place to be with your loved one or family.

Unfortunately, FS Maui doesn't set the bar too high lol.
