Absolutely loving your pictures. Keep them coming. I'm not a huge fan of these lounges but this really looks like a very high-quality spread.

Very fine alcohol and spirits collection but limited cocktail making abilities (only martinis and gin and tonics).

If there's angostura bitters available, a passable old fashioned can be made with what I can see in the photos. (Sugar is always somewhere nearby).

The lounge looks great! Reminds me on the HKG lounge

They probably don't have bitters but they would probably offer to go buy it for you.

Presumably the bar(s) at the hotel have angostura bitters. It's a standard ingredient for any bar.

Then they'll go and grab it from Charles H. :)

Tastes the same way too!

In the middle of my stay, imo the staff really needs more training, particularly housekeeping.

Was the same way at the beginning of the month and last month as well.
I cancelled our Christmas stay out of pure exasperation with the front line staff. Requests went unfulfilled from room service to housekeeping.

Did the operator a) direct your call to the wrong department or b) housekeeping didn't do what you asked?

One example is something as simple as replacing the bedside drinking glass with a clean one when you clean the room or do turn down. I noticed they left the used glass on the second night and I asked them to replace it with a clean one if they seen it has been used. The 3rd night the glass was nowhere to be found and had to ask them to bring me one. Also, when housekeeping comes to clean, they apparently like to crank up the heat, but always forget to set the thermostat back to the original temperature before they leave.

That's better than them answering my call and never bringing the persimmons back. Still ways to go for FS Seoul.

I also dislike that they store the bedroom slippers under the bathroom sink in that cubicle. Just not very intuitive but Mr. Fu designed that space for them and that's where they go

Is it just me or does the breakfast at boccalino seem very underwhelming

The buffet spread or the sets?

Aventine Dec 30, 2015 9:32 am

I find Boccalino's dinner menu to be very blasé. Nice dishes, bread, cutlery but just lacking something. This seafood marinara pizza with ricola and avocado was fine. Hard to mess up a brick oven pizza. The shrimp ragout had no flavor. Salade niçoise needed more tuna for my liking.

They do respond to special requests with a reasonable amount of time. That's a plus for them.
