Short Review

St Regis Bal Harbor is the best option in the Greater Miami Area. What I liked a lot :
-The staff is extremely friendly and are there to serve and pamper you. Service at this hotel was second to none (and on pair with some of the best Asian resorts I have stayed at)
-The common areas of the hotel are very impressive, berchic and aimed at a high-end clientele. Some may find it a little tasteless and over-the-top, but I liked it a lot. This is America after all and the hotel is located in a high rise in a huge metropole (so do not expect an exotic, isolated resort).
-The room : because of my SPG platinum status, I was upgraded to a suite and it was incredible. It came with 2 private balconies with wonderful ocean views. Bed was heavenly soft. In room technology was superb! In summary : one of the best hotel rooms I ever stayed in.
-Breakfast is delicious and the buffet truly very nice.
-The beach area in front of the hotel is wonderful. Just keep in mind that the beach is orientated to the east, and because of the high rise buildings the beach is in the shadow about 1.5 hours before sunset.
-The hotel has 2, very attractive swimming pools with a lot of loungers to accommodate everybody.
-For SPG platinum members : without doubt, this was the hotel were I was treated the best as a SPG platinum member, with the excellent, free and extensive breakfast buffet, as well as the upgrade to a very impressive wonderful suite being the highlights.
