Cool FlyerEC! We dropped by Amanusa for lunch last time before catching our plane. The resort feels slightly busier than Kila and Jiwo, and we were sandwiched between two tables of fairly loud Aussies and very noisy American teenagers.... Service was slow, my raspberry sorbet was melted already when it reached by table Food was excellent though ^

Thanks LarkSFO, going up the Merapi through the ruins was a surreal experience...
And we did the Dagi hill breakfast as well, complete with watercolour and all the trimmings

Dagi Hill looking over Borobudur

My partner having an artistic moment

Another flashback!

I sat right where your partner is in that picture, with my wife seated to my right...

They offered us the watercolors, but we knew better than to try.

Thanks for the photos.. Still have not figured how to post..

Think no time for Dari this trip.
For awhile, 4 of us were the only ones at lunch at Nusa , then another couple.
Our soursop & mango sorbets survived despite the heat

Now relaxing on the Kila beach - slight breeze - way too hot at tiered pools.
Glorious first day of CNY here with red buntings - white yesterday.
Beach club pool is fine :-:
Great chatting with Claudia S - pre -opening Amanpuri team '87 - ^ & Liam O' - chef

Thanks FlyerEC!

Wish I could be lounging in Kila instead of working on first day of CNY
Who's manning the fort now that Tracy has left?

FlyerEC - When I was at Kila in December, I asked and they arranged for a professor from one of the universities in DPS to come and talk about Balinese culture and religion. It was pretty interesting if you're into that kind of thing. (BTW - We paid a small gratuity).

fee?
gratuity to professor?

im wondering about at other aman incl jiwo(borobudur)..
sara has advertised special guests along those lines - i had kind of regretted not doing one..
cant remember if jiwo had something similar, only remembering wellness retreats
giri mentioned this kind of thing originally, then removed >

(Destination Management Companies etc are also option, but definitely fees, potentially very high, even if worth it)

Claudia 's off day too but has some ' duties ' ( including meeting friendly visiting GM of competitor ) after beach exercise
