I will opt for option #3.
I suspect any hotels brought forward that may not fit the bill will be "edited" ( read : demolished ) by the bunch of luxury gurus here !
But I do hope we needn't do this too often ....

I found this whole thing pretty confusing in the end. Two options were very similar and the whole reason for changing the description at all (to make sure that new users of this forum understand what kind of hotels we are discussing here), got a bit lost. In the end I voted for number 3. Examples of hotels we discuss, might make it easier for new users to understand, but the list is long and it is hard to capture "the rest" with a simple descriptions, meaning I felt it is better to leave out names. Still i wonder if this description will help new users. Maybe a sticky where we can explain with more words would be better. I do not know. I just know that I feel a bit tired of the whole thing. But I voted.
