"Healthy" Luxury Hotels

These are top-end hotels with a focus on health treatments that I visited myself, or got recommended to by friends. Do you have other good ideas?

Sofitel Dietetique Quiberon

Sofitel Thalasso Biarritz

Manaltheeram Kerala (not luxury, but maybe most effective Ayurveda in Kerala)

The Leela Kempinski Kerala

Kalari Kovilakom Kerala

Ananda in the Himalayas

Shanti Ananda Mauritius

Stanglwirt, Austria

Lanserhof, Austria

While I have not stayed at either I believe Chiva Som in Thailand and the Four Seasons Westlake Village can be considered to focus on wellness.

i started that thread, and gave some examples, but would be looking for more as well. (destination spa packages at regular luxury resorts)

above, id think only austria ones might offer medical services.

thats big in switzerland. dolder has some stuff. i think most are private clinics (with accommodations) though. and of course there are similar things in US and i would presume to a lesser extent now, the UK.

The ayurvedic treatments go pretty deep. A real medical experience! Did it twice and want to repeat it every 1-2 years from now. Can only recommend it.

A friend just came back from Shanti Ananda and was full of praise.

Lanserhof is known to be extremely effective for weight loss and health. Haven't been there.

The Sofitel Quiberon was pretty effective too. Although you get the best food (!!!) imaginable, everyone loses a couple of kilos and adds to health. When I was there two years ago, other guests included Michael Schumacher, Philippe Starck and the Missoni family. (HELLO vuittonsofstyle, sorry!)

The medical evaluation program at the California Health and Longevity Institute, which is on the grounds of the FS Westlake Village, certainly fits the bill:

Good to know.

Would you consider Life Gallery a medical experience or rather a spa?

Spa at best. Honestly, I never noticed any medical experience or specific spa service that caught my eye while staying there (during off-off season though).

The hotel design is modern and very nice, front office staff friendly but the restaurant service was a true disaster. Dinner food quite good but breakfast buffet mediocre. And smokin' was allowed everywhere in the restaurant with no no-smoking area and guests made extensive use of it (but that may have been a specific Greek thing). Won't go back.
