Double Status Miles Promotion for status renewal
 

Just got the following email, sorry German only, from M&M (LX actually). I am still missing some miles for my status renewal. Basically, double status miles for flights taken between SEP and OCT within Europe on the below mentioned airlines.

Guess some of you got the same, or a similar promotion?

People that are already requalified dont seem to get the mail (cry)

Could you provide the link?

It's a targeted promo for people below the required threshold e.g. 35k, 100k or 135k.

Why do you want double status miles if you've requalified already? ;)

got the same promo from LH.does anybody know whether the executive bonus of 25% of credited miles is doubled as well? I accumulated about 33k miles this year. considering business saver flights with a stopover it's tempting to go hunt the senator status instead of requalifying for frequent flyer. :)

Well the targeting computer is off target. I got the email and I requalified for SEN in May.

Was my thought as well. It seems to be a simple way to go for SEN.

I renewed my FLT status in March of this year (even though I could have done it as late as by 2010) and still received the invitation for tis promo:

Same here- I requalified for SEN until 2012 in April 08 and got this mail while MrsLonLH has not. Since I am only 150K short of qualifying for HON, might worth moving my three SQ/CX flights to LH which should net 90K status miles without 2x bonus had the promo included non-Europe flights.

So you aren't SEN yet? Then you're exactly the intended target group. :)

I checked with LH M&M Hotline today. double miles count only for earned miles per booking class. Executive bonus is not taken into account and thus is not doubled. would be too good though :D

Judging form this press-release I highly doubt that it is targeted to any special audience as it says "Miles & More members" in there...and I have yet to see a press-release for a targeted promotion.

I've been M&M Silver since 2003 and I dont think I have ever received a promo email from LH. Certainly not in the last 3-4 years. But they definitely have my email address, since I always get the Worldshop and LH sale emails....

So thank you dear Flyertalkers for posting these specials, this is where I find out about the promotions. I had no trouble registering for this one, and since I dont receive the emails, I doubt I was targeted !

Which country are you based in?

For me, on the Miles & More homepage (NL) it was showing up on the promo banner.

Might be available to only certain countries, perhaps?

Ridiculous...first limiting lounge access on arrival because lounges are too crowded and then awarding double status miles to ensure that in the next two years lounges will be crowded...

That's the main point IMO - expect to see huge numbers of new SEN from now till Feb/2011 Probably few of them will renew, but it's still FTL until Feb/2013

Well I got this - I have requalified for FTL, but there is a remote chance that with this promo I might make SEN:D

It seemed to work for me to sign up and I haven't received a mail. I'm based in Sweden.

The Promo is for STATUS MILES, not HON MILES, therefore you may notch up lots of Status miles, but will still miss your HON, unless you can collect 150,000 regular HON Miles in the next four months.

I re-qualified for HON back in June 2009 and I still got that e-mail. Very strange..

Same here. I didn't receive the e-mail, but I could register. No confirmation e-mail, however. I'm based in Norway.

Worked for me based out of the US. Not all that interesting as I don't fly many intra-European segments.

Im a recently downgraded to Frequent traveler guy registered in the middle east (much less miles required on lots of destinations)

Plain old Germany. Usually you get more promotions if you are based either in Germany (best), Switzerland (was good in the past) or Austria (good). I was based the balkan region for some time (customer project) and hardly got any targeted promotions.

Good luck! We need more SENs to make SEN lounges even more crowded. :D

My question was addressed to kiez whose profile is SEN+ :rolleyes:. If already requalified as SEN I wondered about the reason for (cry). Perhaps the requalification was through MR?

I registered (from crossings posting on the promo thread), seemed to have gone through, but no usual e-mail - any idea whether it would be valid?

Anyway, academic as I don't have the stamina to do 8 intra-europe 2 segment R/Ts and status miles are useless until 2012. 150K miles is doable, but would mean sacrificing SQ F on A380 for FRA/ZRH transit and LH/LX C (have a corporate deal with SQ and CX upgrading full C to F).

Even I got that crappy offer.

First assumed that it was meant as a targeted insult as the last two years, I credited exactly 2 European flights to M&L ... but obviously they are kinda serious about this stuff :eek: .

So it's not vicious, just imbecile.

Good point- they are only STATUS miles and NOT Award Miles or HON miles...

Anybody know if the train connection between FRA and QKL will qualify for this?

Any... any suggestions for cheap mileage runs to make during this period? I'm about 30K miles short of renewing my SEN status.

2x LX Business Saver (4 segments each)? Should get you 32k status miles with the double offer for less then 700 Euro.

And another 4k as bonus since probably FTL...
