The FRA equivalent would be arrival in Z, through passport control to A, through the tunnel and through passport control into B non-Schengen. Still better than the "official" route of the Skyline train and B security even for UK passport holders for the time being.
P.S. Please report back!
P.S. Please report back!
Being extremely smart I checked the screen, which was just as well because the gate had changed from the 20's to the high 40's.
I'd deliberately not clock-watched my trip. There's no point when you're going flat out. I made it as one of the last to board: without your advice, the ability to move fast and a measure of luck I wouldn't have made it.
I know the serendipity fairy will occasionally align arrival gates with connecting departure gates, but aren't the tight minimum connection times at FRA somewhat over ambitious?

Slight confusion because my original post was "pending" for a day, so our exchange yesterday was (almost) live. Arrival was ANS - i think i saw ANSW on the bus driver's screen. At least I was on the first bus, along with the less than thrilled business-class passengers. Struggled to run up two sets of escalators with carry-on but managed to squeeze through the doors of the departing train. Decanted into T1 A/B, raced through the sleeping area, blushed as I passed the scene of November's mistake (B passport control), veered left and skidded to a stop in the very large B security area. Only three lanes open, and I was the only customer. An alarming pat down, but they ignored, or didn't pick-up on, a loose after-shave gift in my carry-on (Manchester would have had a field day over that).

It sounds like you arrived at the same bus gate (ANSW or A Non-Schengen West) where you arrived last November. There is actually a lift on your left as you come through the doors before going down a few steps. But otherwise you followed the only practical route for this connection.

I have a tight but legal connection coming up. Flying SQ25 Suites JFK-FRA on an award ticket. Unfortunately, the LH connection to Geneva didn’t have award seats so we had to purchase that ticket. So different tickets (I know we aren’t protected). SQ lands at FRA at 9:50 and the flight to GVA departs at 11:35 and we will thru check our luggage to GVA. Looks like the fight to GVA (CRJ-900) has been leaving from gates 50-60 the past several days. This will be my 3rd time connecting at FRA, so not my first time but not an expert yet either.
Thanks for any advice.
Thanks for any advice.
Go through passport control and right away COME BACK through B security. Do not go to the main hall and try A.
If you have access to priority security, B seems to be always empty. They've been very thorough recently,
have an annoying shoe system (let you keep the shoes and pass through and THEN have your shoes pass again, weird)
but it's much faster than anything A.
After B security take the tunnel to A. Took me less than 1/2 hour from stepping off the Singapore plane to the A lounge.

I am flying TLS-FRA-SOF tomorrow in business. Flight arrives at 09.10 and the SOF flight departs 10.00, gate closes at 09.30. Is this doable?

Boarding usually starts 30 minutes before departure, i.e. at 09:30. Gate does not close at 09:30! As long as your flight from TLS is not very late you should be fine especially since you will be in business and can deplane before other passengers. I did a similarly tight connection last September (from A23 which is a little closer to the elevators in A to B47 which is about the same distance as B28 from passport control in B) in just 12 minutes by walking very fast.

FRA-YYZ on AC
I will go from A (Prague arrival) to B (Departure for Canada)
Do I need to clear security between A and B?
Tks
No, just head for the transfer tunnel between gates A15/17 , just passport control once you enter B.
How does this square with info from demue, post 5040, ref MXP-FRA-USA (final destination not given):
You will be going from Schengen Zone to Non-Schengen Zone so definitely Passport Control and Security Check. IME, for US bound flights security is always "extra special" (tight) with additional screening etc. 1:15hr is permitted MCT, but not generous for FRA. As it is on one ticket you are protected though.

Thanks, NewbieRunner -
I'll be connecting MXP - FRA - SIN. So just one passport check and no security screening?

Great! Thanks! Sounds relatively simple (for FRA).
