Welcome to FlyerTalk Jim1978.
Are the flights all on one booking? or is the Milan-Frankfurt on a separate ticket?

You will be going from Schengen Zone to Non-Schengen Zone so definitely Passport Control and Security Check. IME, for US bound flights security is always "extra special" (tight) with additional screening etc. 1:15hr is permitted MCT, but not generous for FRA. As it is on one ticket you are protected though.

If there is a delay of your first flight, and miss the connection, then LH has a responsibility to provides options to your destination - hence 'protected'. I am assuming that LH sold you this ticket.
However, if you had 2 separate tickets for this journey (say LH and UA), then there is no 'protection' if the first flight is delayed so you cannot take the second - you'd be a 'no show' and the carrier for the second flight (UA) has no obligation to make other arrangements. You would need to rely on travel insurance or buy a partial/new ticket depending on the fare rules.
In some cases the second carrier has assisted out of goodwill, but this cannot be relied on.
So, buying separate tickets immediately introduces this 'risk' that needs to be factored in when looking at the time gap between arrival and subsequent departure.

Since you will be arriving from an EU country you don’t have to go through regular security, just passport control in FRA. However, as this is a flight to the US some passengers may be selected for security check by the boarding gate.
Unless the incoming flight is very late you should be fine for this connection.

It was in the afternoon and things were fairly quiet in transfer passport control and Z more generally. YMMV.

Non-Schengen flights in T1, but PP in T2?
I'm about to purchase an itinerary (AMM-FRA-YYZ on LH/AC) which will bring me through non-Schengen T1. My layover is relatively short (2.5hrs) but I have PP. Unfortunately, the PP lounge in T1 (LuxxLounge) is landside.
Is it worth taking the Skylink over to T2 to get to one of the airside PP lounges and then go back? Schengen Visa isn't a problem, just the annoyance of waiting in line for immigration/customs.
I also have the option of extending my layover to 6 hours for a VERY leisurely transit.

There is a lounge in non-Schengen area in T2, SkyyLounge.
Not that it's particularly worth going to. And you still have to do security.
Are you no longer *G? The Air Canada lounge as well as LH SEN lounges would be a far, far better choice.

I have a tight but legal connection coming up. Flying SQ25 Suites JFK-FRA on an award ticket. Unfortunately, the LH connection to Geneva didn’t have award seats so we had to purchase that ticket. So different tickets (I know we aren’t protected). SQ lands at FRA at 9:50 and the flight to GVA departs at 11:35 and we will thru check our luggage to GVA. Looks like the fight to GVA (CRJ-900) has been leaving from gates 50-60 the past several days. This will be my 3rd time connecting at FRA, so not my first time but not an expert yet either.
Thanks for any advice.

If SQ don’t check your bags through to GVA it will be incredibly tight and whether you make it will depend on all kinds of factors such as bag delivery time and security queue.

I searched this thread but I wasn't able to get a very definitive answer so here's my questions. Of course if this has been answered before please point me in that direction.
My route is BOM - FRA - MCO. All on LH & I have 6 hours to kill in FRA. I've been to the Senator lounge(s) several times and from the looks of things the MLL seems to be a more interesting option to pass the time. Historically the BOM - FRA arrives in B and the FRA - MCO leaves from Z. I'm on an Indian passport and don't have a Schengen visa.
So here are my questions:
1. Is MLL still much better than LH Sen in Z? Some of the initial reports indicate that. Wanted to make sure it still holds true.
2. If I arrive in B (non-Schengen of course) would I have easy access to the lounge or would I have to go through transit security.
3. If I have to go through Transit Security will there be any issues going from B to Z afterwards or if I land in Z doing Z-B-Z?
4. How much time should I budget forgetting back to Z from MLL? The FRA-MCO flight is in the afternoon - 1 or 2 PM.
5. Is this the best route to hop concourses - The official route from Z to B will be to go to Z16, take the Skyline shuttle to the next stop (B/C) and walk to B transfer security. After security bear left, walk passed McD and keep going. Don't go down the escalator. You will see the MLL entrance on your right. B56 is a bus gate in the dungeon.
