Try the Peninsula.
Great view all day, and modest rates.

My favourite haunt is the Millennium Hilton next door. Make sure to book a suite though as the regular rooms are quite small.

Nice pictures and great view! I've never been at the Peninsula BKK; OTOH the Peninsula HKG is one of the places I keep visiting for years now every single time I happen to be in the Harbour (with very few exceptions), just like until 4 days ago. I already miss it :sigh:

Yes, great view on a fantastic hotel that is The (Mandarin) Oriental Bangkok! My preferred choice in BKK. Always a pleasure.

You'll get the same experience in SIN when flying SQ F ^.

Not to mention that SQ F suites are way better than TG's F product.

Can't find a room below 13'000 THB (= 288EUR).

Will stay there, as usual:

http://www.bangkokcentrehotel.com/

A room costs 2000-3000 THB, and the Hualangpong-station is just opposite, as is the metro station.

At least a Wood-oven-Pizza on the nice terrace will be mandatory
