Mombasa, and Nairobi apparently to be a seasonal destination as well as Phuket.

I suspect these are the flight resumption.

Me too. This could be a very profitable route especially in the winter season when it´s very hard to get a ticket to JNB and CPT.

Tim2008 thinks VIE-JNB-CPT-JNB-VIE could be a very profitable route especially in the winter season when it´s very hard to get a ticket to JNB and CPT.

From OS Group news:

Einstellung der Liniendienste nach Shanghai und Johannesburg (Aug 3rd 2000):

I think it's unlikely to have AUA flying VIE-JNB-CPT.

This is because their big Star counterpart flying FRA-JNB-CPT v.v. and seasonal MUC-JNB-CPT v.v.

Not sure if AUA is brave enough to steal the market, especially from Munich region.

But from my own experiences I can say that these flights have a very high load in F and C. This is also what I have heard from LH staff.
