You mean LH F? Or LX F?

I guess the cheapest flights are LH/LX shuttle flights within Asia or South America.

Also, LH flights ex CAI are known to have pretty good fares in F.

US F is quite cheap apparently. Just use one of the East Coast flights.

As shown in another thread the UA codeshares on LH metal ex CAI are even better in pricing.

But I'm wondering that weero did not scream out abt. the outrageous non-modesty of the OP as he intends to fly F. So - as he did as I stated it - I feel inclined to take that personally.

From where to where?

When?

Budget?

Will C do?

Airline?

LH, LX or any one else?

Are we to guess what you want?

Cheapest way:
Look when LH uses 747s on domestic routes like FRA-HAJ when there is a great fair in Hanover. Then buy a C-Ticket and get seated in F.

The US Amex Platinum card has 2 for 1 specials on LH business class and business and First on LX. Sometimes these fares can work out a good deal - however usually not.

In my experience Amex 2for1 only makes sense if you fly in F. But if you book flights in C and can book some time in advance some Z-shot is normally the better choise.

Yes, you have to look for Z fares and then make an upgrade. You have to book 60 days in advance.

Is the 60 day advance purchase requirement also for ex-USA Z fares ? I thought this was only for ex-germany fares ?

Mmmh.. so many hints here, but what about getting an award ticket, if available at the required date?

If you are SEN (which I don't know) then it is 210k (140k+70k Companion) for the trip plus taxes. If you get the miles cheap with lots of good advice on this board, it comes up to somewhere around 3,000 Euro for both, a bit more if you are not SEN. If you already have miles in your M&M account, even better..
Getting an F-award for two is by far the best use of miles, IMHO.

Cheers,
Torsten
