Or visit this link for a promotional code to give you the unlimited FlyNet access for one leg/flight. I've used it twice already (though, as it is Lufthansa's American website, it requires that you enter some kind of US address).

Cool Free Flynet for 1 month in F and C

I just saw that offer on the US LH homepage. Thought it is a cool (and long awaited...) offer!
Cheers

Thanks for the link andre1970 ^.

A nice idea from LH, but:

200 only?! LH is getting big time $$$ from these US residents to fly in paid F or C, so why not throw it in? I know that LH has to pay Boeing for each sign on, but still, seems a little cheap to me.

You're right qasr, that particular term (which I didn't notice!) heavily discounts the "offer". It's not an offer, it is a lottery. And indeed, having free flynet in F and C is the right way to go. I think competition will help in that direction in the future. As (I guess) you already know, UA has recently received FAA approval to install Wi-Fi equipment on board. But I wouldn't expect any (goodwill) move from LH before UA or other carriers make publicly known the prices of their products. And I trust Americans on that one. See for example how much T-Mobile charges for a 24h of internet time: USD9.95, nearly as much as Vodafone charges for 30min in the SEN lounges.
cheers

I just used the link above for the free one-time use promo. I was given a code. I expect once on board I enter the code and I'm free to use the system? Anything else I need to know?

Thanks
